    Th400 Dipstick Length

    Not sure what my th400 came out of but it does have a very long dipstick which I cant seem to find anywhere else. Currently its in a 1985 K20. I am worried about getting the stock th400 length tube because then it will be almost 10 inches lower and un-reachable.

    Recently I had my TH400 dipstick break. Current dipstick length is from end to end 35 inches, and I cannot seem to find this exact same size online. With that being said from everything I read the th400 dipstick should be 25 inches long not 35 inches. Has anyone ever seen this longer dipstick...

    The tube in that amazon link I believe is for the deep pan which Is going to be to long. I need a "shallow" one which I cant seem to find anywhere. Never thought of using a filter with a tube built in I will have to look into that. Thanks!

    Getting rid of the filter extension means there is no filter tube at all then. The filter would then just be floating around in there?

    Recently I decided to switch to a Derale 14201 transmission pan. After deciding this I have now realized I need a "stock" or "shallow" transmission filter tube and bolt. Any chance anyone knows where to source these or what the actual length of tube/bolt I need is?
