Rubber molded floormat

dont know if this right forum to post, i got a 1977 chevy c65 truck trying take floor board molded rubber pad out to remove transmission plate. the accelarater pedal is mounted to floor over the rubber mat. how does the peddle come off without destroying it or cutting pad- hardknocks

non-ac heater core
i removed my housing that holds the heater core. when i did the cardboard backed insulation ripped and was water soaked and tore up. very unusable. where could i get this piece at to seal up the housing to firewall ? or what would be a good substitute? thanks alot guys.- hardknocks
