    Well if it were machined it was a long time ago so I could understand them not really caring if they were wiped off. If it was more recent then it would be better preserved.     What I thought it was, now I don't get it but the block date is definitely 1975 and heads are supposed to be 69-70 but there not either there 1976. If anyone has seen this before, I can't find anything online.
