Spindle nuts, what am i doing wrong?

This was my first thought and was why I took apart the passenger side. Currently and I believe this to be correct, from the outside in it is…. Sheet metal cup, break dust shield, break caliper bracket, spindle, angled spacer plate (not sure what this is called i assume its there to give some...

Spindle nuts, what am i doing wrong?

I guess it’s possible but I doubt it. I did clean the kingpin up some but those studs/bolts are in there good no movement on them at all, and I know I didn’t drop it.

Spindle nuts, what am i doing wrong?

Hey everyone I’ve been doing some mantince on the k30 and ran into an issue getting it put back together. I’ve replaced kingpin upper bushing/spring/seal and Lower race/bearing/seal as well as the needle bearing inside the spindle and the gaskets and the wheel bearings/races (inner and outer)...

    Aftermarket windshield wipers

Yes I think it’s a 1992 ford Bronco wiper arm that has a J-hook end that will just pop right on the factory spindles. I did the same to mine and I am also running 18’’ blades.

Wanting to add factory power locks

I’ve done this on my K30, as everyone here said it is a bit of work, but really not to bad. You find a donor truck and you spend a few hours gently pulling apart the wiring for the locks and doors. You will need to depin the connectors to get them pulled back through the tuck and rubber boot and...

What have you done to your square lately??

I started putting a few of my goodies I got from the junkyard the other day on my truck. Got the bonus cab emblems on. Had to drill out the mounting holes a bit as they were a bit high on my truck. One of them is also bent I tried to bend it back but no luck and you can’t be to rough with the...

Sadly my local yard is pricy. The axle is $250 and the short block is $215. I you still seriously want them send me a PM. The truck is still there.

    454 shake and noise troubleshooting

My first guess is that the shop didn't do the intake manifold seals properly OR they left a vacuum hose disconnected somewhere. I'd get a can of brake clean or engine starting fluid and spray around the top of the engine and see if the RPMs pick up. If they do that means there is a vacuum leak...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah I’ll hit the tailpipe before the mud flap in that case. I’ll carry on and do the other side and the take her for a drive and see how they do/look.

What have you done to your square lately??

Put these mud flaps on that I’ve had kicking around. Got brackets from the junkyard recently and thought I’d see how they looked. They are net required where I live and I don’t drive this truck on the highway. So they would mostly just be for protecting the paint on the truck. But I’m rather...

What have you done to your square lately??

I’ve done a few things on my truck lately but this has been the coolest/most useful. It’s a flip down step so you can get up into the engine bay easier. I guess its usefulness depends on how good your tuck is running but for me its been great!

I got super lucky and a dually Crew Cab Choo-Choo Customs K30, 454 truck ended up in my local pick-n-pull. It was in rather rough shape but was still neat and I got some parts off it. Sadly the dually fenders were trashed, i did get a few of the bolts that hold them on though just a spares for...

    K30 crew cab headers???

I have an 1985 cab and frame with a 1973 454BB but I went with Summit Racing brand headers part# SUM-G9011. I did have to put a dent in the passenger side hedder so the front drive shaft would clear.

    RETRO-Mod: Jeep intermediate steering shaft

Got the bottom bolt in today, picked up a normal grade 8 M10x1.5x30 flange head bolt form the hardware store see pictures attached. Haven’t taken it for a drive yet but I can say I like not having to modify the shaft at all to get it in there and the dampener is the same style as the original...

Help with redoing my Front Grille 82 C10 and building a parts list.

I’d like to hear about the LED Headlights as well. I’ve got a set of Grote LED lights on my wish list but they are quite pricey.

    RETRO-Mod: Jeep intermediate steering shaft

Per the other thread by dd1990, I got Dorman part # 425-177 for $130 off Amazon. I pulled out the Jeep shaft and put the C3500 shaft in. It's a perfect fit. I'll post pictures of it in the truck tomorrow. For today I have comparison photos of the original shaft, the Jeep shaft, and the...

    Vintage air vs. stock dilemma???

Personally I’ve looked into both options and I’m going with the stock setup with the A6 compressor. Now my truck was a factory AC truck to begin with so I got that going for me. But I have to buy most of the under hood components (brackets, compressor, condenser, receiver/dryer) It’ll still be...
