    I was thinking the same thing maybe the fittings pressurized something ? From what I was told by the second owner I bought the truck from the orginal owner used the truck pull horse trailers,but I can't trust something mechanical that I don't understand or know how it works.     So I was fixing some wire to rear of the truck..previous owner routed them under the rear end over the top and on the exhaust pipe and then duct tape them to frame ,also while wiring in a trailer wire plug held by scotch tape.     I've tried looking on lmc , parts store local , eBay ,amazon , usa 1 industries , brothers ,summit pretty much all reproduction sites. The ones with cruise years start at 1984.... also can't find the turn signal switch that's in the column for my year model.

    I used the diagram above came up with this to control the passenger side window from the passenger side and it worked window is now down so I don't sweat to death.

    but what would cause it to work then stop just below half all of sudden. I did wash the body of the truck about 2 weeks ago but other than that no other events or changes ? I ran it bone dry and then filled it up and gauge reads the same ?

    I'm off Saturday temp are 97-102 here right now in South Ga. going to try and work on the above two issue and see if I can chase down the brown wire for the parking lights.Then onto the gauges the fuel gauge stop working is stuck right below half a tank and the speedo isn't working but does move...

    Had same issue on my 82 c10 gauge was working then it stopped right below half mark. Filled it back up today still in same spot.

    Small update buffed out the old paint with Meguiar's ultimate compound made a night and day difference.

    I looked on fixmyrust they dont have full door or full bed panels for a 82 fleet side.I emailed them cause in the pictures there is a part number but not in the list.

    Ok tried to get better pictures of the bulk head and I pulled the wire loom off all wires looks ok no broken wires or chaffing. Also that wire is tan but has white tracer. I work nights or 3rd shift so I'm tinkering on this during my 10 min breaks,so bare with me trying to figure this out.

    I agree I only paid 1,000 for it and it runs and drives with out issue,just some cosmetic and electrical thing to work out. Plus it starts first try every time.

    I seen a brn/wht wire on the firewall and same wire coming away from driver side headlight.I took my probe and checked inside the fender marker light socket no power,but tail lights and tag are on. Is this the correct wire to check ?
