What’s IT Worth? (Post all “what’s it worth threads here)

If anyone is interested for reference on their own project, the truck that I posted about in this thread in January just sold yesterday for $7,500. I didn't do anything else to it other than what I had already posted. I didn't get what I wanted for it, but it's better than nothing.

What’s IT Worth? (Post all “what’s it worth threads here)

I have a 1978 GMC Sierra Grande C15 that I've had for a year and a half. It is fully inspected and I drive it weekly. I have done the following work to it... Air filter Fuel filter Spark plugs/wires replaced Master Cylinder replaced Power Brake Booster replaced Alternator replaced Transmission...

What have you done to your square lately??

The title of the thread is "What have you done to your truck lately?'' Well, that's what I did.

What have you done to your square lately??

To be honest? Sat in it and almost cried because I'm probably going to have to sell it. I make more money than I ever have, and I am definitely NOT a frivolous spender, but this inflation that supposedly doesn't exist is kicking my @ss.

    Question about headers

My '78 C15 is bone stock with a 350. I'd like to get some headers for it, but I've never put headers on before. Is there a brand that is budget friendly that anyone would recommend? I don't want chrome headers. Would a used set be ok to use? On a half ton truck, is the starter something that I...

    Question about exhaust.

I have a '78 GMC C15 with a bone stock 350 and original factory exhaust. I would like to replace the exhaust with dual pipes and for it it to have a more agressive (but not overly so) sound. I don't want to run straight pipes. About how much $$$ am I looking at for a muffler shop to do this? I...

    Just bought my first truck!

No joke. My first car was a '73 Plymouth Satellite Custom. Not the Sebring..the sedan. I bought it in 1993 for $700. It had a 318 with a dead cylinder. I drove it for 4 years on that dead cylinder. Dang car just wouldn't die. Best $700 that I ever spent. I recently saw an identical (except for...

What have you done to your square lately??

Took mine out for date night with my wife. It always shocks her at how well a 45 year old truck rides. Bench seats sure are fun when your lady gets to snuggle up next to you when you're cruising.

OEM grille for '78 GMC Sierra Classic

Mine is only missing 3-4 fins. I'm thinking of just finding an old donor grill and gorilla glueing some fins from that onto mine, then just painting the whole thing black.

Learned something new today about my truck, anyone else experience this?

I have an actual low mileage truck. 58,000 on a 1978 GMC. Paint looks like hell, but the body itself is really solid. Literally zero rust. I've replaced nearly everything that could be bolted on as far as the engine compartment goes, as well as window regulators, a couple of gauges, fixed a few...

What plans do you have for your trucks

I would love to find a set of the white wagon wheels for mine. New tires, new paint, new stereo and new exhaust would pretty much finish it out. Currently no extra money at the moment due to restoring it up to now. At least I can drive it.

    Please help a non-electrician

"Also would be good to know why all that stuff was replaced in first place, was it blowing the fuse too?" Yeah. NOT an electrician so OF COURSE I replaced everything before ever checking the fuse. I know. I'm already kicking myself.

    Please help a non-electrician

Blower motor fuse keeps blowing. It's a 20 amp fuse. If I put in a 30 amp fuse, the blower motor works until I put it on 'high' then it blows the 30 amp fuse. It has a new blower motor, new switch, new relay, and new resistor. I'm not seeing any obvious loose ground wires anywhere. I've looked...
