Don't really know where to put this, but have any of y'all ever had to get a bonded title, and how big of a pain is it?

I live in SC and this state's DMV are title nazis. I tried to buy my Blazer in Texas with a bonded title because the title was signed in the wrong place by a previous owner. It seemed to be easy at first, but THEN Texas wanted a bill of sale from the PO which was USELESS, because myself and...

My truck, the battery serial killer...

I forgot to mention that the old volt gauge was seemingly working fine until JUST before the mechanic installed the NOS volt gauge. It completely stopped working before it was replaced. So it was old, defective, and on its way to the scrap heap.

My truck, the battery serial killer...

All of the mechanics did EXACTLY that, but for some unknown reason no such parasitic draw was detected by any of them. I still have not figured that one out.

My truck, the battery serial killer...

For quite some time now I have been having an ongoing mysterious electrical problem with my 81 SWB Stepside that turned into a multi-year odyssey. When I got this truck back from being painted several years ago the battery was completely dead. I ended up buying a new battery which seemed to fix...

    Sliding Rear Window Restoration/Parts

It is strange to me that everyone keeps talking about the new reproduction sliding glass windows that are made today. It seems that these new reproduction ones would also require the exact same type of seals and parts to keep them operational. If I had known this sliding glass window was going...

    Sliding Rear Window Restoration/Parts

I am having the same issue. The one that I have needs new felt seals and rubber seals I suppose. But it is very hard to find the specific ones for this sliding window. I am probably going to have to figure out who sells generic strips of felt liner to install in this thing. Does anyone on here...

    Back sliding glass window question

I have run into a problem. When I was trying to remove the broken pieces of the plastic lock that was on my sliding glass rear window two of the screws broke off. This is probably going to be a pain to get those screw pieces out. Has anyone else ever had this happen? And if so what was the solution?

    Back sliding glass window question

Just bought one from a seller in my state. Does anyone know who sells the rubber seals for these? LMC maybe? Also, who sells the best replacement window latches for these? The last one that I bought that was the Dorman HELP brand only lasted about a month and then it broke when it was used for...

    Back sliding glass window question

That is what I was thinking about too. My 1978 Jeep J10 has sliding glass back window that I use for a breeze in lieu of A/C and I installed a headache rack with bars across it so no one could break in though the sliding glass.

    Back sliding glass window question

I am having my truck painted at this time and the windshield and back glass are out of it. I am considering buying and putting a sliding glass back window in the truck since it has no air conditioning and I could use the ventilation. But I am wondering if this is a desirable thing to have or is...

    Source for Tachometer Repair

I finally got to test my newly fixed tachometer at the paint shop yesterday (where the truck is presently being painted). It works better than it ever has. I strongly recommend Willcox Corvette in Indiana to anyone who wants a tach fixed that has a ceramic back to it.

    Source for Tachometer Repair

I called Greg to have my tachometer repaired (nice guy!) I was all ready to mail it to him and then I sent him pictures of the tach. This turned out to be a good thing because he discovered that my 76 / 77 tachometer has the ceramic board and he was not able to fix that type. He was nice enough...

    Single headlights to dual swap?

I did the same with my 81 (see signature pics). I bought a quad light setup including wiring from a forum member, and had it installed. The quad light wiring simply plugged right in with no mods and works perfectly. A definite improvement!
