    @Keith Seymore Great information! I just wish there was a way based on the codes to say whether or not it was an outdoorsman. Again, I can’t find anyone that has the solid WA8915 gunmetal gray from the factory other than outdoorsman. I’d love to see if someone on here had one.

    @84GMCSierra I believe those are 1981 and a 1982 which didn’t use the WA8915 Gunmetal Metallic color choice.

    @Mr Neutron Thats the only other time I’ve seen that paint code is with the outdoorsman edition. Is there a rpo code saying that it’s an outdoorsman? Maybe mine was too! Nice to see!

    Parking brake light always on, except when it isn’t

    My parking brake light was on but very dim, then when I applied the parking break, it would light up. I bled the brakes, didn’t do anything for it. I changed my proportioning valve and it fixed it.

    I believe my ignition source was the windshield wiper motor. It is best to run to an oil pressure switch if you can but isn’t necessary.

    I installed a tee fitting into the back of the engine with an oil pressure switch and a then the oil pressure gauge. I ran the choke wire to the oil pressure switch so that it’s only on when the engine is actually running. Edit: Oops late to the party.

    That’s it! That wasn’t a very common color. It was actually a minivan paint code and was also 1 of 3 codes used for the Outdoorsman Special Edition K10s. Mine was also WA8915 but was recently repainted white. Beautiful truck btw man!

    Beautiful. Do you know the oem paint code on that truck? It should be in the glovebox. I have an 85 as well and I think it may have originally been that same color.

    I believe the original was painted on or maybe a black anodizing. I used 3/8 inch black label making tape and it came out looking great.

    2 year update. This thing is freezing me out while on the highway. Temps around 45 on a summer day medium blower speed. Will get colder on lower Fan speeds
