Where can you get a dash pad rewrapped? Thanks in advance.

    Blower fan not working

Blower fan repaired. Bottom line I replaced the assembly. Having said that here are some things to check if you have the same problem. There are a few components under the hood that do 90% of the work. There is a red wire across the top of the firewall. It is referred to as a J-post...

    Blower fan not working

The vehicle in question is not the one in my avatar, that one has Vintage Air.

    Blower fan not working

also, the purple wire coming from the relay going to the fan box gets 12v with the ignition ON regardless of fan switch position. If I jump a ground from the negative terminal of the battery to the fan box ground, nothing changes, no fan.

    Blower fan not working

thread back from the dead... 1990 GMC Jimmy. No fan blowing, was only working on high previously. I already replaced the relay #15-8189 / #14036273 (on top of the heater/AC box on the cowl). A/C compressor works fine, just has no fan. Not a spec of rust on the vehicle so unlikely a ground...

Ended up with a custom hitch. Paint is done - 2012 Camaro SS Imperial Blue Metallic. In reassembly, most will be done in next three days. Can't recommend LMC parts unfortunately. Terrible quality in everything I have bought. It's all from Taiwan or China.

https://www.harborfreight.com/5000-lb-step-bumper-receiver-69670.html?_br_psugg_q=step+bumper+receiver+hitch I'm going to go with one of these. 5K is enough for my boat, and given all the tie-ins between the frame, airlift points, etc I'll bet it will actually pull a lot more.

Hitch won't work on the truck. arrrggh. The M1008 has some additional bracing that would have to be cut. Back to the drawing board. If Etrailer won't take it back it will be for sale.

Easiest would be an LB7, they also have great support in the aftermarket. I honestly do not recommend doing the L5P. If I were doing it again I would do an LML with a CP3 conversion.

got it, thanks! hope to install the bed soon. Hitch is going on Wednesday. Needs weight for sure, it breaks loose at 50+ MPH and gets very squirrely on part throttle

umm, this thread is about swapping a 2017 D-MAX L5P into a 1986 K-30. I started the thread with Squaremax L5P in the title. Where did tbi or 1973, LS etc. ever come into it?

Now runs/drives fine. Transmission is a bit jerky, but I think it needs time to lear the tune in the ECM.

I'm really not good at uploading photos. I'm having an issue with low voltage from the alternator - it seems to be going into limp mode when the voltage drops below 11.3V. Really worried that it's not the alternator but the ECU is not telling it to charge. Will pull the alt and test it unless...

1984 K30 Military 1 1/4ton with a 24V Cummins Turbo, 6" lift w/2" body lift. Love your truck! I probably should have done a Cummins too, yours looks great. I'm going to paint mine the Camaro SS metallic dark blue from 2010, probably do the white stripes on the hood too.

C&C has a narrower axle for sure. Can be SRW or more commonly DRW but narrower than C/K. If necessary I'll wait for the truck to be back home in a couple of weeks.

so far my research shows 34" frame width on a 1 Ton chassis was likely a C&C, hence the narrower 14 bolt axle on same. 37" looks to be C/K 10/20/30. Reason I ask is that the "deep drop" 16k hitch is only available for the 34" frame width. I can fab something up but bolt in would be nicer...

CUCVs only came with one tank. I'd like to add the passenger side tank also, is LMC Truck the best place to buy all that? Any recommendations on a hitch? Thanks in advance.
