These are just roughed in as a finish, I plan to paint them the right color and sand again I just wanted to see them on the truck. Cleaned up the interior from the post paint mess finally. Got both interior lights working again. -
What is you headlight setup
Relays hooked up to some sealed beams and led 1157s in a factory housing 81-82 bumper hooked also on a relay and to a switch. Super bright but not overly bright and can see great. I do lots of night driving and have no issues seeing ahead even during rain.- GMC_Nick

Here's an idea of what the undersides look like on steps and fleets. Similar bedrail layout same frame mount locations. Well minus the rust and missing chunks on the fleet side. -

For the long bed stepside there are 8 bolts total same as a standard bed. There were 4 of the 5 larger rails that lined right up with the factory frame holes and bolt through the frame with carriage bolts and offset washers. The 5th big rail just helps support the bed wood. 2 smaller rails just... -

All the lights working now got it all wrapped up just about, few odds and ends mechanically still but I finally got to drive it around for the first time since June. This is the first time my truck has been one matching color in the 6 years I've been driving it, feels awesome! -

All the parts are on, only thing left to do is make all the lights work again, put the bumper on, and then I can finally turn some rubber down the road. Can't wait to get it all wrapped up -

Bumper is on just chipping away hoping to get a drive in before the salt flies. The bed still needs wood put in it before I can put the rear back together. -

Nothing is bolted in or cut yet just got the rough cut lumber tossed in the bed to get an idea what I'm working with, so It'll darken up after it gets coated. Stepside wood opinions?
Hey guys I'm cutting my own wood for my stepside and I can't figure out what I should do with the straps that go in the center. I can't decide whether or not I want to run the strips above the wood or flush with the wood. I can do either but I'm using a black walnut because I got a pretty good...- GMC_Nick
