Sediment in Fuel Filter / Carb

You mean a strainer sock in the tank, I assume? I replaced 2 small strainer socks inside the carb, which were also very dirty and catching debris.

Sediment in Fuel Filter / Carb

That's good news, thanks guys. When I swap out the tank I may do some research on which filter to use between the tank and the pump, for some added peace of mind.

Sediment in Fuel Filter / Carb

How worried should I be? I pulled the pre-carb Edelbrock fuel filter out to find a whole bunch of rust from the gas tank. There's no filter before the mechanical pump, so I'm sure the pump has seen some crap, too. Took the carburetor apart to rebuild to find a very fine orange residue in the...

Park Brake Lever in Drum Brakes

After 2 weeks of wasting time with phone calls and research, here's the consensus... The parts are discontinued by GM, so junkyards and ebay are really your only 2 options. Classicparts.com has them posted online, but they could not fulfill the order and I had to cancel it. Only took them a...

Park Brake Lever in Drum Brakes

Looks like the GM part number might be #15594177 for the Left Side, but no sign of the right side. Anyone know if they're the same for both sides?

Park Brake Lever in Drum Brakes

I am having the same problem still. There is no parts diagram on page 148, so I'm assuming it's the diagram on page 149. The part we need is "ghosted-out" with no reference #. Part #7 on pg 149 is actually the horizontal bar between the shoes; not the lever than connects to the cable.

Longer wheel studs for 1/4" spacers

Thanks for your help. I wonder if .005" makes a difference when pressing these in?

Longer wheel studs for 1/4" spacers

I find it hard to believe that nobody has added 1/4" spacers. There are no articles anywhere. Adding hub-centric spacers means that I'd have to go at least 1", when all I need is 1/4.

Longer wheel studs for 1/4" spacers

I tried Pep Boys and Autozone. Not that I'm the expert either, but I did go through all the drawers with the parts person. If they were organized by knurl or by thread, it would help. It was just sifting through a bunch of unorganized parts.

    Tried that. No luck

Longer wheel studs for 1/4" spacers

Installed new Ion wheels on my 85 k10. They require 1/4" spacers so the tie rod ends don't hit the inside of the wheel. Without the spacers, I'm getting the bare minimum of 6 turns on my lugs. With the extra 1/4" spacers, I can barely even start the lug on the stud. Since the stock studs are...
