    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

NEWS FLASH !!!!! LMC TRUCK IS AN BRANCH OF THE CIA!! Tho they show connecting fuel/return lines to connect between the dual tanks, they show ONLY 1 tank to pump line. They do NOT specify if for dual tanks. So, I called them................ They would neither confirm nor deny that it will...

    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

I tried that.........I was told that this item, understandably, carries a $20.00 oversize charge, and that the base shipping price is tied to the dollar value of the order... So, the more you purchase, the higher the shipping, and would still have that surcharge....

    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

So far, the only source I have found for a pre-bent steel fuel line is LMC. They are verifying that their line can be used with my dual tank setup. Not too expensive itself, but shipping is high.. The longest 3/8" steel tube I have found is 6' and that isn't long enough..... Any suggestions?

    Down 1 Cylinder

Seems to have been a spark plug problem! I have swapped out 2 of the 3 and now have 2 more hot pipes...... Frankly I expected more out of the $9.00/ea Accel 414S plugs...... #2 was easy. #7 was accessible, or, at least I could SEE it......but replacing it was a chore behind the header tube...

    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

Am I safe to use regular fuel hose along the frame rail from selector valve to fuel pump, or do I need to use something shielded?

    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

There is a metal clamp on the frame rail side just ahead of the tranny cross member........... Seems to be the forward terminus........but runs toward the rear past the cross member....... Odd........

    Leaking Metal Fuel Line??

My -84 C-10 is leaking gas along the frame rail between the pump and the tank selector valve. It seems improbable to me that it has a leak in the metal fuel line, but can't see any real alternative.....

    Down 1 Cylinder

Upon further investigation, header pipes for cyls. 2.6.and 7 are very cool after a 30 second run... Dunno what's up.......... Carb is a mess......will re-evaluate once I get the Fitech up and running.

    Down 1 Cylinder

It has been a long time since I have had to do any engine diagnosis... I built my 355 out of a 95 pickup. It has sat for some time..like 2 years. Running like crap......carb dirty, but switching to Fitech RBI. The #2 cylinder not firing, or maybe it is. Header pipe only lukewarm when others are...

    Fuel Pump Return Line Question

I am curious about the fuel return line on a mechanical pump. I have read that the return system is designed to keep fuel moving to prevent vapor lock. Does that mean that there is always fuel being returned? Of, is there a back pressure requirement in the pump that only returns fuel once a...

    EFI Return Line Size

Upon re-reading their installation instructions, no requirement is stated regarding return line size. Dunno where my thoughts on that came from. I tend to retain information that I come across, but can not return to when needed. Anyway, as I said that I have dual tanks and a selector valve...

    EFI Return Line Size

I'm not even sure why a return line from the Force Fuel tank is necessary with the return line from the mechanical pump.....

    EFI Return Line Size

I have purchased a Fitech TBI fuel injection system for my 84 C-10 with a 1995 350. The EFI will use their Force Fuel system, a tank fed by the engine's mechanical fuel pump. The tank has an integral HP to feed the TBI. Fitech recommends a 3/8" return line, but says that a 5/16" will suffice...

    Dual tanks; NO fuel

Well, after all is said and done, I guess it IS possible to have 2 empty gas tanks......... I added fuel to 1 tank and intermediately got flow. But............ Now, even tho there IS fuel in the filter, there IS fuel in the float bowl and the float IA adjusted, the truck will NOT run. I can...

Gas Gauge Off The Deep End

1984 C10 dual tanks. New tanks, at least 1 new pickup/sender. Just installed gauge cluster after 2+ years. Gas gauge travels WAY past full...........same for both tanks. Maybe 5 gal in each tank. Tank selector switch and valve working. Sound like a ground issue?? Both tanks at the same time...

    Fuel Hose OK ?

I currently have a piece of 3/8" steel brake line bent to fit. It already had a flare on the end.. I had do tighten the living heck out of the nut to get it to stop leaking..... But OK for now.

    Fuel Hose OK ?

The problem with a pre bent tube is that I have a '95 C1500 350. that truck did not come with a carb nor mechanical FP. But it has all serpentine brackets/accessories. So.............

    Fuel Hose OK ?

Is there any reason not to connect the fuel pump to the carb with rubber fuel hose? I converted my 84 C10 to a later model 350 and put all serpentine driven accessories on the front. The hard line ran in behind all that jazz and was a pain to get out.......would be even worse to snake back in...

    Door Skin Sound Deadening

Thanks, guys. I had figured that strips would be easier to get thru the holes in the inner door panels. But, maybe with the windows and regulators out, the mat can be dropped in thru the window openings..........
