    update, I got the horns to work,wasn't jumping them the right way,so re installed got them working up to the plunger on the turn switch,now waiting on parts for under the horn pad on the steering wheel-- whew!!:cool: :cool:

    not sure myself, just thought maybe the horn would work just by pushing that little plunger down by hand, it may need to be grounded,then pushed

    I would only be cutting out on the line that is shown, It is like a plastic fin of sorts, seems to me it would put a little more light out to the side as to alert some of the sleepy ddrivers that are out there these days. LED bulbs are coming

    my thought was that it might put more light out to the side on the brake and turn signal usage, not so much with just tail lights, I am gonna go with LED bulbs back there at some point. I think it should still be sealed as I wouldn't be disturbing the gasket around the lens cover

    success!!! got the brake lights back and everything else is working!!new turn signal switch did the trick!! Turns out the white wire on the switch side of the connection was broke and had melted down at some point. thanks again for all the info!! now on to a new master cylinder!!

    I did replace the light on the 4x4 floor cover with LED as well, I did not do the hvac and still have incandescents on the dome and courtesy lights. I did every bulb on the back of the dash cluster
