700R-4 Torque Converter or TCC Solenoid Issue?

Based on that picture what I am calling the EGR module would actually be the solenoid, because it lines up with that diagram.

Fair price to pay for 14BFF and Dana 60 Combo

Yes, it's a CUCV pair. Ok, sounds like it's worth the price then. I'm going to offer a package deal price for a rust free bed and the axle set then.

Who's running 52" up front? Design a lift system.

I've heard mixed opinions on it, this truck will be like 50% street, 30% dirt roads and 20% off road parks. So it'll also be nice to see who has this setup and what they think about it in general then.

Who's running 52" up front? Design a lift system.

If I do the 14BFF and Dana 60 swap I want to run 52" up front. I want a total of 5-6" of lift. Rear plan is shackle flip for 4", zero rates for 1"ish, then perhaps shackles to get to 6" depending on what I need to get a matching rear to front. Front, I want to do the 52 conversion, does...

Fair price to pay for 14BFF and Dana 60 Combo

Just want to see where everyone else thinks the price should fall. Looking at a set of axles for the K10. 14BFF and Dana 60 Front. 4:56 gears, rear is locker front is LSD. He's asking in the $1,500 range.

700R-4 Torque Converter or TCC Solenoid Issue?

It is a 4x4 with cruise (not that i have tested the cruise system). I'm not sure what an EGR bleed solenoid is. I replaced the EGR valve and module recently but I haven't had the truck long enough to the full effect of the difference. Where is the hookup I should unplug; what does it go to?

700R-4 Torque Converter or TCC Solenoid Issue?

Maybe I didn't type that out clear enough, but it does go away when I put some throttle into it. It's around for maybe 500-1000rpm of the band, from maybe 500-750 rpm above idle until I throttle through it, which is exactly why I was thinking torque converter originally. I did check the...

700R-4 Torque Converter or TCC Solenoid Issue?

Working on diagnosing an issue with the truck I just got. It has a shudder at low RPM in what seems to be all the gears (I don't experience it much in 3/OD though) that goes away with a little peddle. Normally my experience with older stuff would say Torque Converter but this thing has lockup...

    What's the right balancer?

I agree, it's a really useful image. It has at bare minimum confirmed my suspicion that the motor is indeed correctly pointing (as marker shows up near to where the image indicates post '86 motors). Just gotta get a timing cover or aftermarket indicator to put on it.

    What's the right balancer?

Yea I looked at it, it doesn't appear to be in any form of bad shape (now obviously that doesn't mean it didn't move for sure). Looking over the picture you posted, I think that the situation may(of course no certainty). That the balancer is just fine in terms of marker accuracy coming off...

    What's the right balancer?

I use clothesline for positive stop, but that's neither here nor there. I didn't use the extension as positive stop, Just felt for top of movement. There's a little play there to be had sure, but not enough to be inches off. Timing light on the motor and moving distributor the indicator never...

    What's the right balancer?

for the sake of this I just put a 1/4" extension in the cyl 1 and felt it, it was far enough off that the relationship was definately unrelated to the play left in this method. I thought about just doing positive stop, measuring it and marking/etching the balancer to the timing cover markers...

    What's the right balancer?

Hmm, that's an interesting picture, because the timing cover marker on my motor is on the side/angled, so now i'm a little more confused on how it could possibly be a post 1986 balancer with a pre 1987 timing cover on a post 1986 crate motor. The timing indicator shows up more vertical then the...

    What's the right balancer?

I'm aware of what you are saying, I'm saying that they don't line up; how can I pick the cover to match the balancer, or balancer to match the cover. I don't need to buy both, just one, and I don't know how to figure out which of each I have/need. I'm only guessing it's the early '87 305...

    What's the right balancer?

The truck I picked up the balancer must be the incorrect one because it doesn't hit timing on anything close, it's inches off. The truck was originally a 305 and has a 350 crate 87-95 gen (square bore, or whatever they call it with the vertical intake bolts). I think they may have pulled...

    New from PA

It's not really that I don't like it, it's that the orange lens's have the rear bracket removed and no way to mount bulbs of any sort in(the mounting area looks like someone just broke off the light system to use on something else). I did think about getting an LED light bar and re-glassing...

    New from PA

Just bought a 1987 K10 Silverado standard cab long bed. Has a 350 and 700r4 crate motor/trans with around 60-70k on them. 350 I believe to be 87-95 (the vertical intake bolts says so to me). 700r4 slips a bit in reverse but I'll do the clutch packs in the eventful future. The saddle tanks were...
