    Tc lock-up switch

It should have 4 wires I think. 1-to tip in switch 1-to the old 4-pin distributor power 1-ground 1-to the knock sensor If you don't want to cut it, you can un hook the wire harness from the esc behind your glove box and remove the grommet from the firewall. I think they will fit thru the...

While the Engines out on a stand

My 350 is out on an engine stand and I was wondering if it could be bad for anything internally or fluids to flip it over upside down to replace the oil pan gasket? The intake, pulleys, water pump, timing, cover, is all off, but the heads are still on. Also, I finally plan to put it all...

    Coolant/Antifreeze

I drained the coolant in my 350 when I pulled it out a while ago and was wondering what everyone preferred for antifreeze/coolant. I think most GM use Dex-cool from what I have read. Does it matter? If it does, what do you prefer?. But I was looking for opinions from everyone because I have...

    Summit Cam/Lifter kit Install

Making a few upgrades to my stock 350 while its out. I am putting the edelbrock performer intake, with the edelbrock 1405 600cfm carb, and long tube headers. I want to upgrade my cam while i have the motor out, but was wondering if i could keep my stock push rods and rockers. I just want a...

    part

Exactly, and they should both run together and into an outlet on the AIR pump. The air pump is turned by a belt and pulley, as the pump is rotated it injects fresh air into each manifold thru the check valves(circled in red) in your pic.

Quad to Edelbrock carb swap, what do I need?

Since you bought the 1406 new, the throttle stud will be in the box! Put some pics after the install if you can!
  15. garzas23

    part

Looks like the air check valve that comes from both exhaust manifolds for the air pump. The air pump injects air into the manifolds thru those valves.

How to replace Blown fusable link;??!!

Heres a pic of exactly what mine looked like and the fusible line from napa. Just go to napas website and type in fusible link, you will see it. Then ofcourse i just bought an eye to attach to the link so i could bolt it to the junction block. Hope this helps.

How to replace Blown fusable link;??!!

I did the exact same thing! It was the fusible link leading to you junction block on the firewall right? Its actually kind of a good thing, because it means it surved its purpose. The fusible link fried at the junction block before it could short your trucks electrical system. If its like mine...

Re-painted the Stock Intake and Oil pan

Bein an old engine there has been grime everywhere! first i degreased it with purple power degreaser, cleaned the rust and original coating with a wire wheel. Then i use Duplicolor prep spray to get any grease or rust left. Finally I used VHT aluminum engine enamel a few coats each then...

    Cylinders 7 & 8

The spark plugs are new I made the mistake of not paying any attention to the condition of the old ones. Now i have the motor out and decided to paint it and replace a few things when i pulled the manifolds i just noticed it.

    AIR pump pics please!!

I think the air pump just injects fresh air into the manifolds to help burn the unburned fuel that escapes the combustion process. It should just pump air to the manifolds only. Not 100% sure I'm no expert lol

    AIR pump pics please!!

They go from the exhaust manifold into the valve, yes. And from the valve theres a hose straight to the AIR pump and that's it.

    Cylinders 7 & 8

Just recently I pulled the stock manifolds off of my 350 to replace them with headers, I notice the rear ports on both sides I believe cylinders 7&8 are way worse than all the other ports. Dark black, maybe carbon build up. Is this normal or should I be alarmed? Thanks.
