So here it is aluminum trim, I can slide a putty knife easily between the trim and tailgate and slide it to the next clip- Westislander

It is definitely held by clips of some sort, I was able to feel them when I slipped a putty knife behind the trim- Westislander

How do you remove the aluminum Silverado trim that is below the tailgate insert. I know the one on the back of the cab will slide off when you remove the corner trim pieces. Although the piece is similar it does not look like it slides off the end. Possibly press down and roll off? I was hoping...- Westislander

Regular bumper on a 4WD fleetside
does anyone have any pictures of K10 fleetside with a standard bumper as opposed to a step/tow bumper. I see them all the time on stepside and they look great but I don’t think I have ever seen one on a fleetside- Westislander

I know it’s a matter of personal opinion but I may have an opportunity to trade my 1985 shortbed box for a 1973 stepside box. Both beds are in good condition. I have always liked the way a stepside looks but keeping my truck whole is kinda cool too.... what are people’s opinions and experience...- Westislander

NewB question about transmission
Thanks! That is what it is..... so what’s the deal with it? Is it a decent transmission or should I be looking to pick up a used sm465? The truck is just going to be a driver and won’t see any significant off road use- Westislander

NewB question about transmission
This should be a simple question for you guys, yesterday I bought a ‘85 Chevy K10 shortbed and I’m trying to ID the transmission. It is a manual transmission 3 speed plus a 4th overdrive. I’m not sure it is even an original tranny to the truck. I am only familiar with the SM465 my 84 had...TIA...- Westislander
