    Dash controls for delay wipers?

During my LS swap I'm wanting to go to an aftermarket steering column and move my wiper controls to the dash. I'm looking for a decent switch that I can make work and I'm not coming up with much. It's a delay-hi-low motor. Does anybody know of anything good that I could wire in? The best...

Use donor cluster in LS swap?

Looks like someone's homebrew software. Problem is it's a lot of steps and has zero refinement. Not sure I trust it at this stage.

Use donor cluster in LS swap?

Since you brought it up I'll ask. Is HP Tuners worth the price if I know nothing about tuning? In theory I can use it on both of my trucks if I buy enough credits, but how steep of a learning curve am I looking at?

Use donor cluster in LS swap?

My L59 came with the stock cluster out of the Tahoe it lived in. Is it feasible to use the cluster out of the newer truck or is there more involved than just wiring it to the computer? I'm building a custom dash, so making it fit isn't a concern.

    L59 swapping into 86 K5. Crossmember?

That looks minor. I'm just hoping not to have to fab a new one.

    L59 swapping into 86 K5. Crossmember?

So at that spacing, do you know if the oil pan will clear?

    L59 swapping into 86 K5. Crossmember?

I'm not sure what mounts I'm going to use yet, but I'm bolting it up to my SM465 that's already in the truck, so I kind of have to put it in the stock SBC location.

    L59 swapping into 86 K5. Crossmember?

I'm picking up a L59 out of a 2002 Tahoe and I haven't found a conclusive answer on whether I'll have oil pan/ crossmember interference. Anybody have any knowledge?

How much slip does the stock front driveshaft have?

At ride height I seem to be at or slightly past full extension.

How much slip does the stock front driveshaft have?

I moved the axle in my Blazer forward an inch and have just now gotten around to regearing it after my 14 bolt swap. The problem is my slip in the driveshaft seems to stop right about the time it gets to the yoke at ride height. Looking at the witness marks, it looks like it only goes about 2"...

Cheap options to replace Blazer seat belt?

It's very possible mine isn't working right, but mine doesn't lock if the button isn't pressed and won't retract if the button is pressed.

Cheap options to replace Blazer seat belt?

I'm doing big things to my K5, and one of the things I really want to get rid of is the stock seatbelt with the button that sticks through the door. Running it without the door makes the belt not lock if I get in a wreck, and I don't trust the plastic button not to break down the road, so my...

    New rear bumpstop questions.

I've still got the overload spring, though these are the original springs, so I'm sure they aren't quite as stiff as they once were. I'm more planning for stupid decisions yet to be made. One of those things that I'll just feel better if they are there.

    New rear bumpstop questions.

I have a 3" block in the rear, so obviously my bump stop doesn't reach any more. I have 2 questions because of that. 1. Do I need to move my bump stop the same amount as my lift? I don't know if the factory ones were based on not over-flexing the leaf springs or something else. 2. How are you...

Any good hacks/upgrades you've come up with for our trucks

So just to clarify, a starter out of a later model Vortec engine will bolt up and run on a 1st gen SBC as long as I get the right bolts? Does it buy you anything other than size?

    Wheel cylinder link part number

Thanks, but holy crap, there's a reminder on why I don't buy AC Delco brand parts. Those look right, but there's never any measurements on anything. And at that price it'd be cheaper for me to make my own.

    Wheel cylinder link part number

This is the saddest thing I've ever had to come to the forums to ask. I'm rebuilding a 14 bolt ff axle to go in my K5 and I need new wheel cylinder links (the pins in each side of the drum brake cylinder) but I can not for the life of me find a part number to the correct ones. Can anybody help...

Time to clean out my garage. Bunch of leftover parts.

Got a picture of what exactly you're looking for? I have some assorted brackets sitting around but I'm not 100% on where all of it goes.

    Military beadlocks 8-lug

Not sure about the shipping aspect of it, but craigslist in central NC is full of people selling Humvee take-offs for $25/each.

Show me your 8 lug wheels!

I don't actually know, I haven't mounted them yet. That pic is on his axle before I bought them. All 4 are bored out the same. Whether they needed it or not, I got wheels and tires pretty cheap. As long as they work, I don't care.

Newbie trying to park this thing

There shouldn't be any binding unless something is broken, but if you aren't used to driving something with that long of a wheelbase, it's probably just your driving that has to change. A truck won't turn like a compact sedan, it's just the nature of the beast.

    Auto to Manual

I swapped in my SM465 and I love it, but for a 2wd on-road truck, you are going to appreciate something with overdrive.

Picked these up recently from another member. Stock 17" H2 Hummer wheels with the centers bored out.
