During my LS swap I'm wanting to go to an aftermarket steering column and move my wiper controls to the dash. I'm looking for a decent switch that I can make work and I'm not coming up with much. It's a delay-hi-low motor. Does anybody know of anything good that I could wire in?

The best thing I've found so far is a switch for a 78-83 C10 with delay and a 3 speed. I think it might work, but I'm not sure. https://www.classicmuscle.com/78175...R7cMBMEQV_8lKLjYEZjPoP6OThPwcNhoCEDgQAvD_BwE#

I have a complete delay wiper setup I removed from my 81 GMC. I installed a later column for cruise control. It a remanufactured motor, probably 5 years old. 40 bucks plus the ride fair enough?

Is there any particular reason the module I have won't work? Short of making the wiring match the new switch, what's different?

You can probably wire the 78-83 switch to mate with the later delay module but I don't know what kind of response it'll give you.
The 84-91 switch has two wires creating a loop from the controller through the delay stepped resistance circuit then wires for ground, hi, lo, and off.
The 78-83 switch is similar with the addition of the instrument panel lamp wire. The delay function is controlled by a potentiometer.
You'll have to lay the CD4 option wiring diagrams side by side and build a pigtail to mate the 78-83 switch with the later model delay module.
You'll also need to mate the earlier cab harness with the 84 up delay module.
The lists of GM circuit number functions in the front of the 1984 and 1979 wiring diagrams are extremely helpful.

Is that the type that has the wiper control on the stalk?

If the OP doesn’t want it I’d buy it from you.
