NOS brake lights set $160 OBRO

These beauties are NOS and come with the original boxes. They are GM part# 370867 and 370868, the type that comes equipped with a license plate light. I bought these for my stepside project, but later found some lights I liked better. Please check your application before buying as all sales...

What have you done to your square lately??

I thought the spare tire side-mounts were only available for 67-72 models...?

What have you done to your square lately??

Having it painted after 5 years of waiting. I also bought a NOS GM factory front tire rack. BTW, does anyone on here have one of these on their truck? I HATE the under-carriage one, and there is no room to "spare" in my shorted stepside. So I was hoping for some feedback on it.

    Heater box question

I should have clarified better . I mean the actual control switch box that you use to turn the fan on or turn the switch to hot or cold .

    Dual Fuel Tanks Problem

There is a distinct possibility that there is water mixed with rust in there . I would fuel up the other tank that you know works then take this to someone who can properly drain it . The worst that could probably happen if you use that unused tank is the fuel filter would become clogged .

    Heater box question

I need to install my NOS heater box in my 81 . I had to go to the junkyard to find the retention screws that hold the heater cables to the inside of the box . But strangely enough they do not go into the holes . I ordered some from LMC but am worried they will not work either. Am I missing...

    Mystery Noise...?

Update I spoke with the mechanic who installed the motor and transmission last year. He thinks that the torque converter is making the noise due to the fact that the noise is not constant i.e. it only occurs under certain circumstances.

    Mystery Noise...?

Could the pulley assembly possibly make such a noise? I have never heard this type of noise before but then I have never had a pulley assembly go bad on me.

    Mystery Noise...?

My truck (engine ?) has recently begun making a strange noise. When you start it there is nothing out of the ordinary. But if you rev the engine or go 40 MPH or greater there is a distinct metallic tinging sound. I am not sure if it is the actual engine, but I guess it has to be. Imaging...

    It has finally begun...

After many years of false hopes I have FINALLY taken FRANKENTRUCK to the first major step toward painting!! It has always had the trademark cab corner rust that squarebodies have, along with the windshield corners. Everytime I was getting ready to start the de-rusting/ painting procedure with...

    Oem nos parts

Keep checking dealerships for NOS parts. They are STILL out there if you look hard enough. I have found a windfall of them at dealerships all over the country in the past year. One NOS part I found was at a Buick dealer!!

    replacement sheet metal

I bought my OEM doors off a junkyard truck for $150 each and my fenders were $25 for one and $100 for the other. Better than repro ones anyday.

    Radio interference issues

***update*** The radio interference is also present sometimes when the gas pedal is pressed with no fan running. I am opting to go with the radio condenser thing to stop this. But which one do I use? The radio came out of a year-unknown Corvette and some of these condensers seem to be...

Question about welding for the body guys..

It would not surprise me if you could find an old broken down truck with a title that someone just wants out of their yard for that $50-$200. You could use the cab and sell the rest for scrap. I was considering replacing my cab due to the rust on the cab corners and the lower windshield...

What have you done to your square lately??

It sure does! Better than it did before too. Remember I said in the post that "it ALL works". Next time I will elaborate more! The old one was likely the factory original that was on its last leg when I started using it. Now I want to find the correct assembly for the wiper-delay feature...

What have you done to your square lately??

AND...it all works and looks GREAT!! I had never bothered to try to replace the wiper motor due to the Haynes manual making it sound harder than it actually turned out to be. I had done something similar to my 1973 Dodge Charger and 1973 Plymouth Satellite so I was not looking forward to it...

What have you done to your square lately??

I installed a new OEM wiper motor to replace my old "demon possessed" one that only worked when it wanted to (The power of Christ compels you!!). The washer feature had stopped working years ago too. I then discovered the washer bottle was cracked so I replaced it with this NOS one I found.

    Gauge cluster F%#k!

I think the old speedometer had some issue. I would never have expected this because I consider them indestructable. The needle was faded to dull pastel orange and looked bad.

    Gauge cluster F%#k!

Another advantage of having these new gauges is that the 100mph spedometer is more accurate than the old ratty 85 mph one. The old one was 10 miles too fast and the needle sometimes jumped around so you never knew for sure how fast you were going. I noticed after installation that the truck...

    Gauge cluster F%#k!

I mentioned in a previous post that my rebuilt orginal inline 6 engine in this truck was blown up by a moron mechanic who drove it 60 miles with a bad oil pump. The idiot light never came on that I am aware of. When I turned on the knocking engine after this happened it sure was not lit. Had...
