Is my fuel pump wired wrong?

electric fuel pumps usually have a built in pressure switch. they immediately pump up the juice until it reaches 'pressure'. so, it may be just fine. my 2005 dodge fires up the pump without cranking the engine. my polaris 4 wheeler does as well. that's all the help i can give. sorry

What have you done to your square lately??

after church i pulled the '85 k20 out of the 'barn' and hosed off the engine compartment. can't tell that i did (3 buckets of degreaser to boot). i got the bench seat out and pulled the old rubber?/vinyl? floor out. found all the surprise packages of rot that need attention. ;)

sorry i forgot to take a picture. 1985 k20 13" brake drums. does the armored parking brake cable 'lock' into the brake shield/plate or does it just pass through the hole without 'mounting'? my cables pass freely through the brake shield/plate hole. thanks for your help yet again.

what is this interior cab area called?

so, i got the bench seat out of the '85 k20 today and ripped out the rubber?/vinyl? flooring. i knew there was rot and now i need to know what the 'vertical' area is called. is it footwell, that i'm looking for? or kick panel? not the floor pan, i'm pretty slow but i got that one figured...

    vinyl floor replacement help/opinions wanted

thanks all. this has alleviated some of my hesitance with replacing the flooring. i don't think i want to spend the extra on the 'dynamat' though. it cost as much as the flooring!

my 85 k20 has a vinyl floor in it, it needs replacing. it looks to have a backing or padding. i have an LMC catalog but i'm not sure what they offer is what i have/want. has anyone replaced a factory vinyl floor with aftermarket? if so, what did you use and where did you get it? :) i'm 99%...

vacuum valve on driver's exhaust manifold outlet?

thanks for the quick response. i had read something like that but couldn't wrap my head how it could figure out how to 'flow' from the driver's side to the passenger side without another valve of some kind up near the engine. :) now, i guess i have yet another vacuum line to figure out where...

vacuum valve on driver's exhaust manifold outlet?

google didn't answer my question so i'll ask here: sorry i didn't take a picture. crawling under the 1985 k20 to trace a 'line', i found it attached to a vacuum operated valve at the end of the driver's side exhaust manifold. it is right at the junction of the exhaust pipe going back to the...

    Allow myself to introduce......myself.

First, let me again say thanks to the responses concerning my newly acquired transfer case. Anyway, I've purchased an '85 k20 from my son that bought a newer truck and needed money. My thoughts were to create a daily driving emp resistant c.e.r.t. truck for s.e.r.e. purposes. yes, i'm being...

np208 won't shift to neutral or 4 low

thanks all. i've really jumped in the deep end. my shade tree mechanic experience has been with motorcycles. inline fours have been my wheelhouse. hopefully i can follow instructions with this much larger project and have good results as well. :)

np208 won't shift to neutral or 4 low

yes transmission stick 'free'/not engaged in any gear. i've tried motor running, motor off, clutching the transmission, as well as what i listed above. the transfer case stick moves toward neutral (stick pushed toward passenger door and moving down/back) but never makes it to neutral.
