Remove speedometer needle or sync new odometer

For those of you wanting to brighten up your florescent orange needles, go to a hobby store and buy Testers model paint. I used it and it turned out great. Took about 4 coats for good coverage, but looks like new. Just an FYI!!!

    Air vent valve replacement

Ok, has anyone replaced their air vent valve on a like/near 1978 Silverado C10 with air with this replacement part? How do I attach the actuator and spring. Pictures attached. If so, could you please send instruction/pictures. Or, maybe I just need to rebuild my original with new vent seal.

Remove speedometer needle or sync new odometer

I saw something somewhere that the speedo needle twisted off. So I tried that with the one from the yard and it came off. I then use a trick I saw somewhere (I am a member of several sites) to use a fork. For the smaller needles I used that. Position the post of needle in the last opening of...

Remove speedometer needle or sync new odometer

Okay, thanks. I decided that trying to remove the speedo, and all other gauge needles, was less an ordeal than dealing with the odometer. And as luck would have it, I was able to transfer all my new, brightly, painted needles to the new gauges without issue. Wasn't hard at all, just have to...

    Good Quality Rear Bumper

I am in search of a good quality rear bumper for my 1978 Chevrolet Silverado C10. I was at a salvage yard yesterday looking for other items, as well as the bumper, and apparently trucks always get hit from the rear as there are no good rear bumpers (and very few front because they are not taken...

Gauge Cluster Teardown and Rebuild - Beware, Pic Heavy!

I am doing the same thing. I want to try and keep mine as stock as possible. I have switched up the incadescent to LEDs. I foimd out the new LED sockets I bought from Super Bright will not click in on the guage cluster so hoping the old ones, after cleaning, will work. Need to take care of...
