NP203 fluid and which driveline oils confirmation

Definitely a 203. The required oil depends on if it’s still full time 4wd or converted to part time.

    '87 Crewcab 5.9 Cummins/trans ID

I have seen pics of a th400 pan that is heavy cast aluminum with an integrated converter dust cover, this could be one.

Traction aid in the front axle or not?

I have front lockers in my Blazer and my wife’s Jeep but not in my daily Dodge 4wd, I just don’t use the daily in a way that needs the locker. A front locker would be a great option, I guess it really boils it down cost vs use.

    Power to manual door conversion?

Same here. All the manual parts were a direct fit to my power doors, I just needed manual door trim panels.

Your favorite old car/truck that you regret selling!

1991 V3500, former USAF truck, I was the first civilian owner in 2002. Fresh paint and lift with a pretty mint interior. I truly loved this truck but the 4l80e died and then the a/c quit, with a baby and a toddler we needed something absolutely dependable so I sold it. About 5 years ago I got...

    454 headers question

There are lots of per application headers available for squares but they do hang a little low for a 2wd. I’ve read multiple times, but never verified, that first gen Camaro headers fit well and are tucked up higher in the frame - I don’t know if these car headers force you to cut the bellhousing...

    Shorter Accelerator Cable?

Currently I’m using a qjet with the factory bracket (original 454 stuff) but I’ll be changing the carb and using an aftermarket adjustable bracket soon. I found that my 91 cable is 29.25” w/ eyelet at the carb, a 78 is 25.25” w/ eyelet and a 75 is 24.25” w/ ball & socket. (Blazer applications)...

@TotalyHucked is the Slosh Tubz site the only place to watch for them? (I don’t want to miss the next batch)

    Shorter Accelerator Cable?

I thought I’d seen this discuss before but I can’t find any threads. I’d like a shorter accelerator cable, my current (‘91 Blazer) cable (per Rockauto) is 29.25” long and forces me to twist a loop into it to fit my carb. I see a ‘78 K10 cable should be 25.5” long and a ‘74 K10 cable should be...

    Clutch safety switch wiring

A quick look at Rockauto only shows one switch (no with or without cruise) and it only has a single 2 blade connector. Are you looking at the switch, the harness plug or just a diagram. Post a pic of your switch, specifically showing the 2 places for connectors.

I didn’t do it myself but after months of waiting my bikini top is finished!

    Hood Release

Have the cables been released? The Slosh Tubz site shows them but when I click on it I get a page not found screen. Available anywhere else?

    Clutch safety switch wiring

You can make a jumper wire for the plug to disable it if you need to get it running now. The harness plugs in to a switch at the top of the pedal towards the dash, it has a long plunger that “feels” when the clutch is depressed.

    Low pressure electric fuel pump

An in tank pump is the best option for an electric pump when you have to pull fuel from the top of the tank. Pumps are lubricated / cooled by the fuel so they like to stay wet. When your feed is higher than the pump it’s going to run dry momentarily because of drain back, when it’s initially...

    Header hell

My old ‘80 K10 had a 350 and later a 454 with Hedman headers, both were by application sets and fit perfectly. My Blazer has a 454 with Sanderson’s and they fit perfectly, again straight from the catalog.

1980 K20 Transmission Mount and Skid Plate help

It’s been a minute but I used to have an ‘80 K10 w/ 4spd so... It definitely didn’t come with stacked washers. The tcase crossmember should be flush against the frame with long bolts and tube spacers inside the frame. The tcase skid that attaches to the above crossmember should be basically...

I always liked that style of Welds (but I think they have a problem with the spokes cracking)

Are you talking about the brakes themselves? If so, I made that conversion myself using brake parts from a front D60.

You can see my lines if you zoom in. I’d like for the bends to be a little more crisp and straight but they work so I’m in no hurry to rework them.
