    K10 NEED LONGER WHEEL STUDS.

Nevermind... that's not the part # I was thinking of. But the knurled area looks like it may not reach the hub? Does the rotor fit snug with those studs?

Original color of my instrument panel?

The '73-'77 bezels were made differently than the '78+ bezels. The earlier ones, if a trim level that got chromed gauge openings, the chrome was applied and then paint came after. On the later ones, the chrome was applied to the plastic just where needed.

What have you done to your square lately??

That original spare is awesome. I definitely geek out over stuff like that.

    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

Here's mine. About a year ago, the little white tab broke off, so it got a new ring. The keys were grandpa's too. One set is from his '70 Kingswood wagon and I think the other set is from his '75 Electra. The Electra was his first brand-new car and also the start of his switch from Chevy to Buick.

    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

The Columbus plant has been gone for at least 10 years now. Probably longer, but I've put it out of my mind. The place was always magical to me. Imho, it and the people within helped build modern America. It just looked so magnificent. They had a giant front lawn out on US 40 that was always...

    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

I've got the same keytag! It was my grandfather's and he gave it to me in the early 90's sometime. He retired from the Columbus Ohio Fisher Body plant.

@legopnuematic IIRC the clutch will be engaged during cranking. But I'm not positive on that.

    Air Conditioning Advice Needed

I would definitely discontinue use until you can get gauges on it and have a helper with you to diagnose it better. IF the compressor is locking up, you don't want it sending anymore trash through the system than it already has. Try rotating the compressor clutch by hand. You should be able to...

    Headers

There's two main styles of Hedmans for our trucks. One style hangs low and is super easy to install, but they tend to rub on the spring shackles. The other style tucks very well but is harder to install since starter removal is required. These are the ones that tend to interfere with auto...

    1977 Heavy Half fender emblem

Like I said "if equipped". I'm sure it was like many things with GM at the time. The Big 10 option included a certain amount of options. But it wouldn't surprise me if each of those options was available separately. I've got no information to back any of this up. But if a truck was ordered as...

The Bonanza option got it's own actual fender and dash emblems. But yeah, the Heavy Half and Big 10 option got a decal on the bed.

Can you pls identify this distributor wiring harness?

Found it. Not egr related. It's to operate an idle speed return solenoid. Craig and Spencer both know what it is, lol. https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/what-is-this-relay-looking-module-box-on-my-valve-cover.42350/page-2

    Much over 70-ish inches.

    Need a hood measurement please.

Hood width doesn't effect the gap on just one side. It's just that more time needs spent with adjustments. Also, your .150 difference is well within factory tolerances of the era.

Can you pls identify this distributor wiring harness?

I don't even remember if it was for egr... But I do know for sure that there were far more trucks without it than with. With your non stock carb and intake, the rest of the equipment to utilize it probably isn't there anyway.

    M122 blown 5.3 in my 99 silveraydo

I'm no expert on it, but generally speaking, a steel shaft in the low 70-ish range is about max you can safely go.

    1977 Heavy Half fender emblem

GMC was Heavy Half. Chevy was Big 10. I think they all got them if equipped... unless another package took priority. GMC Street Coupe or Chevy Sport, for example.

Can you pls identify this distributor wiring harness?

I think that's part of that speed switch setup that was used on some models for egr or something. I can NEVER remember, no matter how many times it gets discussed, lol. But that relay would have been mounted to the left valve cover originally. Btw, please throw away that glass fuel filter. They...

That's a tough one. Perhaps a long wheelbase van? Are you looking for exact length, or one you can shorten?

New to this Forum, but am in many others.

Howdy from Ohio #2! Yeah, I'd really like to see the '64 too! And the (presumably, based off screen name) 409 as well! 425hp was a dual quad, wasn't it?
