    Yeah, I bet it was a spray can primer so a good lacquer thinner or maybe acetone might take it off without touching the original paint.

    I just peeled back the other side fender trim and it doesn't have the same set up either. So what I thought was an unmolested truck might have replacement fenders, or they stopped doing it for the 85's

    Getting ready to strip a front fender (81-87 style) to get ready for paint and found the belt trim molding had a trim clip built in and a hole in the fender for it to fit in. My 85 has the molding without the clip or associated hole. I was just wondering if they all were like this and my fender...

    Thanks for the input people, I guess I didn't know they showed chrome on the leading edge only. I always thought they came in chrome or painted. Learned something new again.

    I picked up a 74 grill that is painted silver/argent but it appears to be chrome plated under the paint. Is this typical for this year? I was thinking of stripping the paint if it was all chrome. Thanks

    I think I'd cut out the rusted area and just fab up a new patch. it's a pretty straight forward patch as far as shape and size goes.

    Valid point, but, You should be able to reach up in the B pillar and feel if there was a hole for the corner trim screw.
