What would you pay for this truck?

We cut my son's truck down but not totally sure I'd buy one already done unless I knew who did the work. A lot of them have z'd frames and the work is suspect. And because people are apprehensive like me, it really affects the value and you better be sure you plan on keeping the truck. We used...

How to properly remove a cab without damage

I did the same as Michael here. I used 2 2x4's with notches to keep the cab from sliding off, spaced 4" apart. If using a HF cherry picker, needs to be the larger one as it has a longer reach.

    V2500 4in lift replacement? ORD?

Just some thoughts based on my K5 build. 35" tire will hit the back of the front fender if going off-road. I'd go 6" lift or 33" tire. 4 or 6" Deaver Spring up front with 1" ORD spring block 2.5 or 4" Shackle flip w/ Deaver Spring in rear. Sulastic shackles on rear greatly improves ride when...

    Free, you pick up.

I could use the glass out of the door. I'm in PHX but my son might go to Escondido next month. If you still have the door/ glass, I'll take it. Obviously first come, first served. Id just hate to see you scrap it if nobody else wants it.

Who sells the best replacement gas tank

A little bit more expensive but I like tanks inc for replacement tanks. They come powder coated. For custom tanks, I typically like Ricks.

whats every body using.. looking for a new stereo head unit

Well, I could use some advice for my 90 Crew...I just want it clear sounding and simple. My thoughts: Retro 1.5 din in dash. No cutting needed since it's a 90 6x9's in rear corners. 5" or 4x6 in each door(4 total) 3.5 in front corners 1-2 of those self powered retro sound subs under rear...

Auto wiper lifters to save edge

Yes, but if you notice the angle of the "tail" of the twist tie, it is placed in a drag position thereby creating down force much like a spoiler. This feature allows increased pressure on the blade for a superior wipe.

Can anyone tell me what this is??

I might be wrong but don't think the second bulletin that Aurora posted has anything to do with Trailer Brake Controllers and is referring to an aftermarket part that was sold in the early to mid 90's. A few companies in the 90's manufactured a mechanical ABS. I don't remember much about them...

Auto wiper lifters to save edge

I knew an old guy that did stuff like this. While we don't understand or "get it", I can tell you the guy was a genius and worked for NASA. He was an airflow engineer and also helped design some of the cylinder heads we have on our cars. But that was just one guy, the rest of the people I've...

    Drip Rail Sealant

You can buy a tape from 3m for this purpose. Should be available at any body supply. They offer it in multiple thicknesses and widths. You want the thinnest and also narrower than the trim as it expands when crushed during install. Apply it to the drip rail at the top edge so it expands cleanly...

    Hydroboost - Hard Pedal

Just to verify...you did the swap or it was already on and previously working fine? Do you have the pushrod going to the correct location on the pedal? It is different than a vacuum booster and you sometimes have to drill the pedal if it doesn't have the correct hole.

    1964 Chevy ll ls1/t56 swap

These pictures are close to 10 years old. I've had the car since '93. 3 different paint jobs, 4(?) different suspensions, etc.

I forgot that they did bead roll the sheet metal so pretty similar to the fab quest.

My 63 SS is mini tubbed to fit a 355. The shop just used a strip of metal. Nothing fancy and looks good. Was going to use the DSE tubs but I think they only fit 275 iirc. Best Nova resource is stevesnovasite.com

Twitchy steering with a big travel trailer (rear sway bar help?)

I'm staying out of the steering, tire, twitch discussion as I don't believe a sway bar would address the issue at all. But I have added rear sway bars on a few trucks and definitely helped in wind especially when equipped with camper shells. Our HHR SS was horrible in the wind; added a small...

    Spray booth??

I plan to buy one, possibly from Vevor. I plan to build a temporary PVC frame when it's inflated just in case power goes out as I've heard a few horror stories about them collapsing on fresh paint.

I bought some on eBay a few years back. I think they were around $10-15 each and fit/ matched perfect to originals. No filing needed.

    Bucket buddy seats

Does he have an actual storefront or works out of his house? Tempe is about 40 minutes from me but I go that way occasionally. I don't mind stopping by and seeing the work/ shop in person if not in a rush

    Az Square

Good to hear. Just in case you haven't heard, Dinos Git Down is at the stadium every November with usually a few thousand trucks in attendance. Couple other places near you to check out if you didn't know, apologies if you already do... The Chrome Guy, who stocks a lot of parts for 66-72, and...

    Summit Brand Headers???

I have Summit Headers on the C10. I found the flanges to be nice and thick and the fit was perfect. The tubes appear to be high quality and the coating was very good. The truck is a new build so I can't tell you long they will last as I haven't run them yet. On a fresh motor, they installed in...
