    Fuel line connections

I had already drained the tank. It came out easier than it went in. I also did what you said before I got your reply. I put a little longer hoses on the tank then used hose pliers to work them onto the lines, with the tank brackets. The straps LMC sells are junk. One of the threaded parts...

    Hvac blend door question...

My defrost quit working a couple years ago, and I think it's the round thing that looks like a vacuum advance above the right kickpanel. I had to splice the vacuum line but can't get it to work.

Which tank straps do I need?

I bought a set for my single tank from LMC and they are cheap. One of the threaded rods snapped just as I started tightening it with a hand held ratchet. Luckily I had a real long one at my work so modified it to work.

    Fuel line connections

I got them hooked up yesterday. Lesson learned: Never drop the tank to work on it. It's a pain getting it back up and the lines connected.

    73-80 and 81-87 Jack differences

Not sure if this is where I post this but is there a difference in the factory jacks between years? I got one for free from a 78, with brackets handles etc, but the mounting on the passenger inner fender is different than what was on my 84 Sierra. I want the jack just for looks, so I'm hoping it...

    Tailgate measurements

I was looking for the height and width. I had someone from the C10 club of Arizona get them and they got 18" high and 65" wide

    Finally got a running 65 C10

I love the 64-66 Chevy trucks. I used to have a 65 Chevy Suburban myself. I wish I had never sold it now. I was 3rd owner after my dad. Had it from 93-2018. These are pics of 3 actors from American Graffiti signing my glove box door in 2007

    Fuel line connections

I'm looking for images of the fuel line connections for the steel lines to the tank on an 81-87 with the single tank. I had pics in my computer but they disappeared. Mine has 3 lines. Can someone help me out please? Thanks

    Tailgate measurements

I need some measurements on the inside of the tailgate, when it is closed please. My 84 is at the shop so can't get to it. Can someone get me some measurements please? Thanks.

    Good enough or perfection

My 84 was a farm truck for awhile, but is rust free and has dents and scrapes all over it. It's out for another engine now(guy sold me a bad engine 3 months ago and got less than 24 hours out of it ). Just going to take out some of the dings , throw a quick spray job on it and run it. As...

    GMSquarebody shirts idea...

Maybe a 73-80, and an 81-87 on the front and back, but also agree with the pocket idea

    84 GMC for my daughter

Welcome from Arizona. I have a base 84 Sierra 2500 2wd myself. Love my longbed. Wish it was a half ton sometimes but for only $1300 5 years ago I can't complain. Working on a new engine for it now. Throwing this out there. I started a group 2 years ago called All Original Squarebodies on...

    Gas tank installation help please

I've had my tank out for a couple of weeks as I needed to drain the gas out since my truck has a blown engine anyways. I cleaned and painted it, and the brackets gloss black(Rustoleum Turbo), and installed new straps yesterday. I just have to put in the new button head bolts to hold the straps...

Rear Step Bumper Pad 1985 GMC C15

Back in 85, my 74 C10 had a bunch of holes all across the front bumper, but no rubber. I didn't think about it at the time as it was just an everyday vehicle, not the collectors items they are now. Standard painted step bumper in the rear though.

    Good rear gears

That's what I thought too. I had it floored and surprised it didn't detonate at that time

    Good rear gears

I'll try the online calculator I got off this site to figure out what I have. Unfortunately right now I pushed the engine past it's limit and threw a rod so the replacement engine is toast. It wasn't a rebuild, just a used drop in.

    Good rear gears

Good Afternoon members. Just got my truck back with the "new" Vortec 350. I want to do some long distance driving with it but was told it's geared too low. It's an 84 C2500 with the TH400. I don't know what are in it now, but want to change them out in the next few months. I'm just doing in town...

1984 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 Grill

I bought an 85 grill for my 84. I painted orange GMC letters in the center for something different. Of course I also have 93 GMC and SIERRA emblems on my tailgate.

What have you done to your square lately??

Had a "new" engine and exhaust put in my 84 Sierra. Vortec 350, all cleaned and painted GM blue. Should have it back next week

    Auto shifter bushing

I found out the bushing that is on the shifter to column rod is missing. Can someone post a pic of what it looks like for me please? My truck is at the shop locked up. It's an 84 Sierra with the TH400. Apparently the linkage was a little bent from the PO when it was a farm truck. Thanks and...

    Exhaust downpopes

Thanks Ricko1966. The Y pipe that was on it was homemade and the left side wouldn't allow me to utilize all 3 gears of my trans as the shift linkage was hitting it so I bought the new kit. I appreciate the info. Thanks again
