88 K5 blazer inside tailgate latch handle ?

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for 88 K5 the inside tailgate latch handle for awhile without any success. No one like LMC or Classic industries even have one in their catalogs, so that would mean I need to hunt the junkyards, but honestly, I haven't seen a K5 in a boneyard in years. Everyone has the outside tailgate handles to a C10 pickup, but not a K5/V10, so if you can help me I'd be real grateful.

@JTWard Where in SE Pennsylvania are you located? I may have a good latch handle except it is hooked to the tailgate buried in my shed.

Suburbans use the same inside handle, so that widens your search criteria. It was probably also used on a few GM wagons of the 60's and 70's.

If I get some time, I'll dig through my stash and see if I can afford to let one go.

Your saying this kind of handle was used on Station Wagons ? Wow, I still doubt if I could find a junk yard that had this kind of old vehicles in stock.

Let me know if @bucket doesn't have a latch handle for you. If you still need it, you can stop by and we'll pull the gate out of the shed.

So are you sure you need the handle? Sometimes they bend and that can be repaired, but often the linkage actuator that's below the handle is the culprit when the gate won't open.

Give Sibums in Stroudsburg a call. 570-421-3086

They have a few squares (got my roof rack from them among other parts) and a bunch of old American cars. It looks like they dont crush em. They let NEPA take them back to the soil little by little lol.
