He hasn’t been back online since Saturday and judging from his quick irritation in post #3 it’s probably no great loss.

For anyone else actually thinking about this, there is a way to fish wires from the chassis up into the cab in the back cab corners. That’s where I ran a set of heavy gauge wires from under hood to inside cab for amp and powered sub. No drilling no grommets etc.

I was just saying there’s an easy way to get big amp wires into the cab without going through the firewall (and under the carpet, lol). Speaker wires, amp switch wire, bass boost cable, rcas or high level input leads, all stuff that gets run under the carpet.

That would be of interest for my coax run. Would much rather run it out of the cab and then up into the bed corner. Easier to change out than r&r carpet/sound deadener.

In the bed?
Except the coax (I presume you mean RCAs for amp) would have to leave the cab to get routed back into the cab. Makes no sense to do that. Plus most/all are not designed for outdoor use.

Don't be, it gets old when a nubie creates and account and the first thing they want is an answer to a problem. When with a little searching the question would be answered.

CB antenna coax is what I am assuming.

Correct, need to run it out and under. Antenna is mounted to a stake pocket wall. Will holesaw the driver front bed floor corner drain to suit.

Stereo antenna is in the windshield. Speaker wires are as issued, taped to the floorpan. Leaving small gaps to run those in.

Ya that would work great to get the CB antenna cable out. Sorry, I was thinking stereo wiring.

Vintage Sharp 23 channel, dual polarity, mic built in to the case.
102” stainless steel whip, on a spring. Bent back and clipped to the bed rail. Will likely go back to a 3’ or 4’ Firestick.

Actually replacing the barely works factory am/fm radio with an FM only 8-track. Real tuner will be in the glovebox. :)

^ There are head units small enough to fit in the ashtray compartment. I forget Wetsounds or Kicker or both maybe. Marine audio head units.
Love the truck.
My dad’s first squarebody, 74 C20 454 truck with the same side pipes I put on the 77….because of that old truck….. had a built in stereo/8T/CB radio.
One very fond childhood memory talking to truck drivers, lookin out for Smokey’s up ahead and stuff!!
