Putting in my sound deadener and carpet this weekend. I haven't added my speakers yet, but will have a powered sub and a 6x9 in each back corner.
Just curious about what wires to run, and where. A pro will install but I'd like to have the wires available for him to connect and not take up the carpet. He can do a fuse, make connections etc. I just need to "rough in".
Assuming a #10 from battery to rear center (not sure) and just speaker wire from the radio to the 6x9's? And keep them separated to avoid interference?
THANKS and ENJOY THE HOLIDAY!

I asked this group. Since you have no advise, sit down.

Leave the run channels to where you can readily access them. Like under the carpet sills. Loose wiring or a prepackaged components kit install will also make a difference in how much space to leave.

The C10 we’re restmodding has a CB coax to run under the eventual floor covering, to a cab floor access plug, and then into the bed via a drain hole. Carpet clad tunnel, under seat and firewall, real oak “floor mats” to match the other cab trim. Think Pete 359 working show truck, GATS level build…

Not much fudge room in a Squarebody cab. You basically have door sills or tight tucked to the tunnel for wiring upgrades. Even just rerunning heavier speaker wiring is going to eat up most of your space. Or do you plan on taping the wires down and V/U grooving the underside of the sound deadener? That “little” wire becomes a noticable lump once the trim out is finished.

Show us how you finish it up. We like pics.

You know asking the guy who's going to install it is the best advice you could get. I've done lots of prewires, one person wants this, this and this. Landed here, here, and here and something else Landed here just in case. Next guy wants this, that, and that Landed here there, and here. Some want a piece of 4 conductor for 2 speakers some want 2 runs of 2 conductor. Some want the home run location in one spot, someone else wants it in a different spot. You weren't bright enough to figure out that @idahovette was mocking you with misspelled words. You shouldn't come on here as the Newb and eff with the people who have been here forever. Collectively we are a wealth of information, whether we want to share it with you when you REALLY need it? That depends on how you treat us in the interim.

Well I was gonna walk you though a couple scenarios since you’re obviously clueless and didn’t even provide enough info to answer accurately.
But whatever…

I was going to chime in here because I did a pretty good system in my Suburban. Seeing the level of conversation and subsequent ******** it has degraded too; I will scroll on.
