Precision has a program where you can send them yours for a re-build, I would do this in the future.
I think this is what everyone who does it and succeeds says lol.

Congratulations, you're a better man than I for finishing.

Okay - I got them done, and yes it is a pain in the ass! The biggest lesson I can pass on is to order everything from Precision, not LMC. The setting tape form LMC was not good, really skinny and thick where the Precision was wider and much easier to work with. Precision has every part you will need to fully rebuild these.

I ended up removing all the rivets to get the main rubber installed, and it still sucked and never was exactly how they were from GM.

At the end of the day they are in and it is a huge improvement, they don't leak or whistle and look great; but man what a project!

lots of links to jegs and summit for them,

but they have a nice website of their own with the services and glossary of terms about such things,...and the terms are what you need to search and find things. (even if other sites call things differently) seems they have offerings for newer vehicles too. (pricing is cheaper in catalogs, but nice to see the part #s and descriptions)

Spicy pricing. But manageable! I just read thru the post and am gonna be tackling just the outter surround gasket this week. I think down the line I’ll get a set refurbished

Wish I would’ve known to get the precision setting tape ahead of time.

Setting tape was the main thing I fought on the side glass too

unless ur full of money, suck it up and do it yourself. It's a pain, but I'd rather do that than changing out head gaskets on a 350, doing drum brakes on all 4 wheels just to mention a few.

Yeh you'll curse a few times, but dang at the money you'll save.

I passed on the windwings on advice. Trim painted SEM trim black, still get wind noise, not sure exactly what to do about that, maybe a shim of some sort.
