Hello everyone. I probably could have put this into the current “what have” thread but I have several pics that I wanted to include. The story behind the truck is that my SIL bought this 87 V10 back in Feb. He despises bodywork and the paint was mostly original and what was left was terrible. Anyway, it sat in my shop at school for months because he didn’t want to sand the behemoth. So, when he found the CUCV he wanted in August, I bought the V10 so he could pay for the CUCV (Two at twice the price thread).
After much wrenching and sanding, this is where the rig is currently. I’ve added the 91 clip from a donor Sub as well as the axles and lift. Relocated the rear shackle to accommodate “56 springs and cleaned the spray painted wheels.

Picked up some used 15x8 rally wheels on the cheap a few months back. A lot of sanding, a little primer and a can of Eastwood paint. Between the wheels, primer, paint, new center caps and new beauty rings, I spent just over $300.

Hello everyone. I probably could have put this into the current “what have” thread but
Why would do that knowing it's going to cause confusion. Start your own build post with a title "specific" to your build.

Sorry just sayin'

Finally joined this century with my trucks radio. It works well for a cheap purchase. It has FM, Bluetooth, and a backup camera. It sounds good with 2 speakers in the dash, and 6x9s behind the seat in the stock location.

Is that a single DIN with a larger screen or did you have to hog out an even bigger hole in the dash?
Looks good!

It’s a single DIN. The dash was already cut from the previous owner. The hole that he left was almost bow tie shaped in the steel. The plastic covered a lot of it. It’s not perfect but neither is the rest of the truck. The navigation is a bit hard to see radio sits low. I looked at the bigger screened single DINs but there’s not much room. Thanks.
