I have a 1977 K20 in need of audio. I have the corner brackets with 6x9 pioneer speakers. What is the best radio for this truck? (preferably with bluetooth) What is the best dash speaker setup? Thanks!

I'm assuming your dash isn't butchered and you still have the two knob radio hole in it? If you're wanting bluetooth, there are several aftermarket companies that make them to fit the 2 knob holes. If you want old school, try to find yourself an old Pioneer am/fm cassette Super Tuner III deck. There are also plenty of speaker kits that'll fit the dash.

^^^^ What he said, two-hole for knobs or cut out for newer style single DIN radio? ^^^^ Then others will chime in with more options.

But for dash speakers, I used these, Kenwood KFC-835C because of price, brand, specs and their mounting depth didn’t interfere with my dash pad. Screwed down on top like factory ones if your is equipped with 3.5" corner dash speakers, 2 screws each.

Thanks for the info! No my dash is not butchered. I just recently took out the old AM radio because it quit. Mine has the speaker in the center of the dash. Can you convert them to corner? If so what size can you fit in there? I have a set of 4x6 speakers. Thanks!

The RetroSound has worked well for me. It's certainly not audiophile quality..
but connects quickly and has plenty of volume.
I put the two small 3-4" speakers in the center along with the cab corner 6x9s

Are they louder than any system you can put together for that price?

All of mine are Gen 3, I think they've been replaced by the Gen 4 now.

The brand is Retrosound, and there are several models. I used one of their radios, a stereo center dash speaker (not much separation of left and right), and added 6x9s in the door. In hindsight, I should have just used the brackets and cab corner speakers instead of butchering the doors.

You can get these lower kicker panels from eBay pretty cheap. Tuning 3 1/2 kicker speaker. Sounds many times better than the centre speaker. I’m also running 6/9 in back with an under seat sub.
