Well after trying to reset the tv cable with no success, I decided to go back and read all the previous replies. Nick thank you for the information, I don’t know much about transmissions and I was hoping to try some things I feel comfortable with before taking it to a shop. I’m going to try the reset on the tv cable. Is there anything else you think I can try before bringing it to a shop! Again thank you!- walleye

I remain in third gear. Once I get over 30-40 mph she’s starting to rev pretty good. Unfortunately I don’t have a tach so I can’t give you the rpm’s- walleye

What transmission do I have?
I have a 1982 k20 Chevy pickup with a 6.2 diesel engine. Recently it will not shift into 4th gear or OD. I am posting some pictures from the tranny. I think it might be a 700R4.
