At least on a 70s 350 you can change the fuel pump easily...no tank dropping involved like the newer stuff. Had to replace the in tank...

Make sure the brake switch is adjusted properly. My painless wiring lockup kit has done me no wrong. Got about 60,000 miles on it.

I used a 4th gear pressure switch and a time delay relay. Power to the solenoid and relay coil come from the normally open brake switch...

I'm pretty sure you use the offset hole as it faces the front to shift the axle rearward, so it doesn't jam the yoke into the tail...
