there was a connector coming out of the seat belt buckle, and i plugged it in and it worked like it should. im assuming the switch opens/closes based on if the seat belt is latched or not. there where two wires going to it, one was white, one was black. thank you for those diagrams, those where...
I just took apart my seat belt retractor. There is no switch and looks like there never was one there I also looked everywhere for an electrical connector that matched the colors in the schematic and there is nothing, is there somewhere else that switch could be?
I think there is a pretty decent chance that is unplugged in mine, the carpet was replaced prior to me buying the truck, and the seatbelt retractor was removed for that, I will check it out tomorrow
Hi all, I am trying to work out all of the kinks of my 87, I am trying to get my truck to do it's seat belt warning chime when the key is first turned on, the fasten seat belt light does not come on either, the buzzer box under the dash works, it comes on when the door is open with the key in...
Hi All, kind of reviving my thread here, but I just had my valve cover off with the engine running all of the pushrods are spinning, the only thing i noticed is that one spins significantly slower than the others, there is no ticking or strange sounds, so is this somthing i should be concerned...
hi all, heres the deal, I changed the oil and filter and put in 20w50, now I have 15psi at idle and 32-34psi cruising, and there was a minor lifter tick that went away also after the oil change so Im happy about that, so I am going to run with it this summer.
thats what i was thinking, I just thought i would suggest it because maybe someone had a different experience, Im going to change the oil and filter, Im going to use 20w50 and see how it goes
it had a warning light but it never triggered the light, i have my temporary gauge hooked up to it. and i am talking about the bypass that bolts up to the block with the oil filter adapter, im wondering if that can cause an issue.
maybe the more appropriate term would be "refresh", new rings, bearings, gaskets, new heads, new oil pump, new cam/lifters, no block work was done, this was a decent running engine prior to disassembly, just was tired, and leaked oil
yes I checked with two mechanical gauges and got the same readings, I may switch to 20w50 for the summertime, it runs good except there is a small lifter tick at hot idle, im hoping the thicker oil will help with that. Is there anything else i could check that may affect the oil pressure...
