Yeah I figure it's something like that. I just installed a new plug because the old one was done for.
With each wire labeled it should be easy enough to pinpoint the problem. Nice for any future problems too.
I have been looking through google images, but I can't seem to come up with a wiring diagram for just the driver's power window switch. One that is color coded so you can be sure. For an 87 R10 single cab truck. It's the one that has two switches and is a rectangle not a square. I'm trying to...
Some of them were yes, but your initial insults which brought the whole thing on, were not.
Either way the question was answered in post #2, it's epoxy. Which may not be the best idea because then you'd have a bunch of stuff installed which now has to be masked for overspray when you finally do...
There was no need for any further information. If someone can't answer the question merely from the information I provided in the OP, nothing I else I can say will be able to help them.
Reading comprehension isn't all that great among some members lol. But that's anywhere.
You really need to read and try to understand the thread you replied to. Yes I'm a paint and body newb. For some reason, you think this must mean I "don’t know a thing about paint and bodywork". Please cite specifically where I said anything like that.
As for the paint thickness, that's...
The reason for asking these question is clearly stated in the OP. I wanted them to get all the dents out, and then I bring it home and work on it. When I'm done, then they paint it. This isn't something weird, you see primer trucks sitting around all the time. Also driving around. I just wanted...
I bought a 70's truck to fix up, and I figured it would be nice to have the best possible fuel system. It didn't come with a carb, and I know some people like to tune their own carbs and I thought "Hey! That could be me"!
Most of my previous experience with carbs has been negative, but this was...
Ah. In that case, I'll probably go with a digital gauge, a factory a gauge, or a custom gauge. Accuracy and ease of use at a glance is important to me. But thanks anyway for the help!
Well the body shop will be handling it all, because that's the one thing I don't like doing myself - Paint and body work. I'll leave that to the skilled professionals. So I'll just ask them, I'm sure they'll know what you can do with whatever they'll be using. To me it's well worth the money to...
I believe so. I wonder if we could figure out exactly which sending unit would add +10 psi to the signal... If we knew that, then you could even add a little "-10 psi" to the gauge face. Like those RPM gauges that have x1,000 on there, since they only show single digits. Cause hey, why not. It...
Can't post a pic right now, but it's whatever setup the stock 1987 truck would have come with. Just a sending unit and a wire. Everything worked great and went right in place but the engine doesn't make enough psi to move the gauge unless you're getting into it. Then it does, and it shows the...
This may have been covered already, if so please ignore this, but it's less about "want" and more about need.
EDIT - Read the rest and yeah it's been covered.
And if this company was selling a 0-60 psi gauge, I would buy one. I like the look of their gauges, and my 0-100 psi gauge is kinda useless to me. So i'd be willing to buy theirs since it closely matches the gauges I already have.
But I think the issue is that nobody is making 0-60 psi...
Sounds like the aftermarket carb might be the better purchase, since people who have mastered the quadrajet are getting hard to find. There's probably way more info to be found on how to properly set up your edelbrock. Along with support from the company itself. And the brand new carb is new...
