    Where to go for alignment?

When you do find a shop to handle the task, be prepared to shell out a flock of dollars in labor time charges. 4x4's use a tapered shim behind the hub and the disassembly/reassembly to install them can be expensive.

Not enough Edelbrock 1406 fuel pressure ?

I should replace those rubber lines, as it has been many years and lots of ethanol gas, and many of us have had experience with deteriorated rubber lines from that crap. Plus, I have a bad habit of running multiple fuel filters and there's a chance each tank has a filter at or near the intake...

Not enough Edelbrock 1406 fuel pressure ?

As many will recall, I recently had a no start problem on my truck with no fuel getting into the carburetor. New carb fixed the problem, truck has been doing fine, until a couple days ago. Once again, same issue. Checked everything and had plenty of gas gushing from the fuel line (electric pump...

Squarebody Down! HELP - Member Roadside Assistance Volunteer Map

Is there anybody near Cottonwood, AZ who might be able to help me? I recently was forced to give up my home in the off grid mountains and move into an assisted living facility (you can read more about me in the medical discussion thread) I am allowed to keep my truck as long as it runs, I can...

It's probably for the better that my health is failing and it's looking like I may end up in a home or facility in Prescott very soon.

No dash or tail lights, this is WEIRD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do remember finding this gremlin, to this day never have been able to explain how that wire ended up soldered to the bulb's terminals as the bulb had NEVER been removed since it was installed brand new.

Looks like it's time to part with one of my squares

@Redfish My cell is a flip phone with no text or data service but the camera does work and I can transfer pix to my laptop that has a screen big enough to work on and see what i am doing. Smart phones have a microscopic screen I can't see what I am doing and the touch screen crap is too...

Looks like it's time to part with one of my squares

Mine is not bone stock, but fairly close. Some things have been changed. It's been repainted somewhere along the line, but the body is amazingly straight except for a dent in the driver's door. Somebody installed a spotlight on the driver's door pillar, but at least they screwed up and made the...

Looks like it's time to part with one of my squares

Originally, I had planned to bequeath my 82 made for the 83 model year C-20 Heavy duty weight rated truck to a friend. However, knowing his landlord and his neighbors are already complaining that he has too many vehicles in his yard (one I know doesn't run) he won't have anyplace to park it. He...

    Best spring coil compressor?

And make sure you lubricate the threads on the puller real good. With truck on jackstands, I always put floor jack under the lower control arm to add extra safety and control.

    Rear diff weirdness

Yes, with the truck sitting level, fill until it just barely starts to run out the hole. And, as a general rule I was taught back in the 1960's, if you can stick your pinky in the hole, aim downwards, and you have gear oil touching the finger close to the first joint, you have plenty of oil in...

    Rear diff weirdness

Look at the passenger side of the front part of the differential for a fill plug. A 3/8" square drive will fit it.
