    Neutral Safety Switch

Well no luck finding the slot that fit in. After a couple of hours cussing, I wound up using a hose clamp tightened to hell and back around it. Is it factory? Nope. Does it work? Yep and I have reverse lights now.

    Neutral Safety Switch

I’ll try and see if I can see that tab. The column was swapped at some point in its life. I thought this would be pretty straightforward. But it has tested me to the end lol. Thanks for the response. I’ll let you know what I find.

    Neutral Safety Switch

Does this tab go under/inside the column to help hold it in place somehow? I have an 82 C10 that I’m fighting putting this new switch on. I can get everything into place and plugged in fine. But as said as I move the shifter it tries to pop up out of where it sits. I have the tab where it goes...

    Need an honest opinion

Honestly Goldie I’m not a fan of the patina either. I’d like to paint it, but I’ve spent a ton on other things on this that are into the budget. Oriellys knows me by name lmao. This was supposed to be a “swap a good engine in and drive it” project. But that is definitely not where it went lol...

    Need an honest opinion

Afternoon all, I just wanted an honest opinion on how this turned out. I can’t paint it right now, so this is what I went with. I’ve never had anything patina or if that’s even what you’d call this. What do y’all think? I haven’t used linseed oil yet just polish. Also, anyone have any idea how...

    Remove Primer

Thanks all. I’ll give that a try and see how it works.

    Remove Primer

Dang I was hoping to save the paint underneath. I’m using Maguires cutting compound. Do you know if anything I can spray or wipe on that will take off the primer and leave the paint? Sad part is it’s in decent shape. Not perfect by any means. But better than the primer special. From what I can...

    Remove Primer

I’m looking for any suggestions on how to remove random primer from my truck. Let me explain. The previous owner randomly painted primer all over the truck. No rhyme or reason. Just primer because? I have no idea. I have gotten some of it off with cutting compound and a d/a. But it’s taking...

    Wire identification

I’ve got a few wires with plugs I’m trying to sort out. If someone could let me know if these are needed and what they are for I’d appreciate it. The blue arrow has some sort of old burnt up switch on it. The yellow circle I’m guessing went to a/c controlling? Also, if I’m reading the schematic...

    Choke Wire 1406

Thanks all. I got it fixed. I just ran a different wire to it. Seems to be working fine.

    Choke Wire 1406

I jus my have the sending unit. Should these have both the sender and the switch running off of a “T”? If I understand correctly, the switch turns on the choke light of you lose oil pressure. And leaves it on until over 10 psi at startup. I’m going to run a new wire from keyed power. I was just...

Random primer all over the truck. No reason…. Just bored I guess. ‍♂️

    Choke Wire 1406

I agree I think that’s going to be the easiest route. This poor thing has had a rough past life. I’m working on getting it back together, but the more I dig the more I find!

    Choke Wire 1406

Yes sir it’s blue. I think it ties into the oil pressure switch if I’m reading the diagram right. No guarantee there lol. I’m still trying to sort out what the last pink and pink/white wires are for. This harness came off of a later model. 84-85 I’m not 100% sure. I was just happy I found one...

    Choke Wire 1406

I recently bought this 80 C10 with a nightmare for wiring. I replaced the engine harness with one from a junkyard. I am using the dark blue wire to power the choke. However, this will not make it work. I ran a wire from the battery as a test to the choke and it started opening. So the choke is...
