+1 on the Bilstein's yes a little more but 'buy once cry once', also I got mine at ShockWarehouse during one of their sales. This is an 82 C20 that kids and I are working on as for brakes, we updated with new components but kept the system the same. Figured technology has changed in the 42 years...
Thanks for all the info working on an 82 C20 and think I might go with the VHX model as it is a straight six with 3 speed. Just little touches here and there the kids and I are throwing in.
I wanted to do the 4 barrel but something cool about running the Monojet. Honestly might build up another 292 to hotrod for another project truck. This one has been claimed by the 13 yr old. I love the square bodies I grew up in them so they do hold a special place in my heart.
@Shorty81 Yes sir we are keeping the 292. Actually just blew the head gasket so have the head out now for a quick rebuild as the truck sat for over 10 years.
