I need help buying my tools for class at school

My Little bro is starting school next month and craftsman gives students a 20% discount. Maybe it is a sears thing where he is getting his tools but you could always check into it. We all have craftsman and use them on the farm and hell they have worked just fine.

    Freeze 12?

I personally am not familiar with 409 so I don't have an opinion on it's use. Having said that epa has not approved 409 for use in vehicles to my knowledge. "Many refrigerants, including R-401A (made by DuPont), R-401B (DuPont), R-409A (Elf Atochem), Care 30 (Calor Gas), Adak-29/Adak-12...

    Freeze 12?

I have to agree with pops on the importance of pulling a deep vacuum, without doing it you will have other issues. I NEVER charge a system without first using nitrogen and the pulling a deep vacuum. The purpose of Nitrogen for one reason is just to make sure I have all my fittings tight and...

    Freeze 12?

My bad I should have added that in that yes you do have to be licensed to buy R-12 which is expensive because they no longer "make" it. I meant freeze 12 is sold over the counter. Yes I am licensed.

    Freeze 12?

Just my 2 cents but I wouldn't be using air from your compressor to blow out the existing oil. If it is not evacuated properly it could create acid in the system and then you are really hosed. Nitrogen is what is recommended when flushing a system, testing it for leaks and purging. Without...

    Newbie here from Utah.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with my score. Yes all the wiring and mechanical work now with a little TLC. Oil pressure gauge is the only thing I need to fix now I think it's the relay. The AC compressor went out and they tore it out but that will be easy to replace with a new 134A or even R12...

    Newbie here from Utah.

I picked up a 87' Bowtie last fall and now that the weather is warming up it's time to do some work. Picked her up for $500 a fuel pump and a battery later she fired right up and runs great. 350, k10 TBI.
