Having a little problem and working on a solution. My 75 K has the wrong wheels and tires on it.Fine by me, but not fine by the state of Kansas for inspection and registration as an antique. So I need 4 wheels that I can put on it that look like something that it came from the factory with that I can put on for a day. Thinking I can buy new wheels and tires for my 6 lug trailer put them on the K get inspected and registered then come home and put them on the trailer. What all wheels were available on a 75K? If these were stock I think I can take this pic and a K on trailer wheels and make Kansas happy.

A factory Installed 6lug rally wheel should pass inspection. The State Would have a hard time proving otherwise on an original part. I had them on my 75 K prior to upgrading to an aftermarket wheel.

Yes, rally or wagon would have been a factory option.
The aluminum ones with the round holes are also factory but not 100% if they were around in the mid 70's.
I know my 82 k5 came with aluminum.

They could either come with sport wheels, like in your picture, rally wheels, or steel wheels with hubcaps. Of the three the steel wheels would probably be cheapest. Too bad you’re not closer, I have a couple sets of wheels sitting around I’d let you borrow for inspection.

So KS won’t register a vehicle as a collector/ antique if it looks “modified?”
Sounds like something our great state would do, but thankfully hasn’t.

Wow...Mississippi doesn't care what it looks like...as long as it meets the age requirement. They don’t even do an inspection...no need to even bring the vehicle.

As long as the backspacing and offset are good and they clear the calipers, I would venture to say yes.

What wheels and tires do you have now that won't pass?

If they require something that came stock and apparently they seem to be paying attention it's likely they will be able to tell that you put new trailer wheels on it. Sounds like a waste of money unless you have a trailer that needs wheels.

It's got 31 x10.5s on 15x10 white spokes with enough offset they noticeably stick out from under the fenders. These guys aren't checking hard like car show judges, but if you can see from across the street it's not stock, they can turn you down. And to make it all better some don't know, don't care, look the other way, but I'll be the guy that gets the nit picky inspector.Hey maybe if I leave doughnuts in the bed(jk). And yes one of my trailers needs new tires so I was thinking get a tire and wheel package for the trailer put the wheels and tires on the k10 for a day, and make everyone happy. I've been searching local yards for 6 lug stuff forever now with no luck, checking Mazda, Toyota, Everything that might have some plain jane looking steel wheels, even steel trailer wheels aren't just plain stamped steel wheels anymore.
