Yes I have used 2, one at the compressor outlet and one at the tool end. Still does not work well

middle West Georgia humidity
Your basically same region as me. I. An see the moisture blow out of mine when I have the blower on. I don't have a seperator on this compressor. I just oil the tools and drain it

Make a coil of copper tubing that will fit in a 5 gallon bucket.Fill the bucket with ice and water and put your separator on the tool side of the coil the cold coil condenses the water out.

Vinegar and molasses are both citric acid products just not as strong as citric acid and water.I forget if navel jelly is also citric acid or phosphoric acid.

Someone mentioned ospho( phosphoric acid).Good stuff and you don't have to prime over it if you use oil base paint. You don't have to do anything with it immediately because it protects the metal.Epoxy does not play with it though. Regular primer is porus as someone mentioned and it will rust under the primer if you don't paint it soon.

FWIW I'm using ospho and rustoleum every place that's not visible as rust prevention.Insides of doors backsides of body panels, etc. Cheap for the rust protection.

POR-15 is an excellent product, knock the loose rust off then brush it on.

It doesn’t get any easier than that and it’s the best product for the job your doing. I would trust it 100%

The roll on liner your talking about putting over the metal will be more of a risk of creating rust under the surface than por ever would.

Since POR makes a chemical reaction that stops rust and makes it obviously incapable of rusting, could one then use an undercoating like he wanted to do after?

According to the instructions, POR-15 can be top coated but you would have to scuff it for adhesion.

Oh okay. So POR-15 can be used as a final finish? I ask because Id like to do that eventually, because the science and testimony is pretty clear on it works. But didnt know if OP idea would still be viable with that or possible.

It can be but for UV protection it does need a top coat. (I'm the OP) We used it on the entire frame of the truck after sanding and using the Surface Prep they sell. I did not use a top coat and it has already - 3 months time - started to fade. Since it is the frame we're not worried about it though.

How do you get the air dry enough to prevent clogs with that hand held blaster?

That's one of the reason's I live in the west not a fan of humidity. It was 113 degrees 11% humidity the other day. But like Scott said air dryer and you can also run your air hose thru a bucket of Ice water to cool the air further. Plus the hand held only holds a couple of cups of media it's great for small jobs and the air compressor isn't working hard to keep up.

Sure you can top coat it just have to have a sanded tooth for it to grab ahold of and stick. Just be careful not to sand it off
