Does a 86 instrument cluster circuit board work with a 89?

As title states,

Does a 86 instrument cluster circuit board work with a 89?

Someone I know has an 86 c10 printed circuit board that's in much better condition than my 89 r1500 burbs's circuit board.
I know that in the case of the 90-91, there's a difference,
And I think 87-89 there's something to that as well.


Would the 86 work?

LMC seems to think you’re OK. Just a difference if one has the tach or not.

That doesn't seem like I'm OK.

I have an 89 and wanna put a 86 printed circuit board in my truck.

So as long as it’s the non tach version. I’m sure it is, you’re ok.
