Hi guys, doing my first ever K-10 build. Found a super solid truck and am going all out on it. But I’m not familiar with truck resale, and old truck markets. Wanted to get lots of opinions on what my truck may be worth as it sits now, or when it gets painted. So here’s what I got. And I’ll post pics, would love to hear everyone’s opinions of what I should do etc.
1985 K-10 original 305 truck swapped to a
350 Mild Built Small block just finished
2 bolt Main, decked block, 4x4 comp cam, headman hedders, 2” dual exhaust w/ flow masters, fresh paint on all engine components. All new chrome, valve covers etc.
edelbrock carb
GM aluminum intake

6” all suspension lift kit, didnt cheap out, has all new brake lines, stainless extended brake hoses, new calipers, brakes, all new suspension bolts
Dual steering stabilizer
Fresh alignment
3.42 gears
35” Goodyear wrangler tires and Mickey thompson rims

interior has already been painted and redone with new seat cover and floor carpet. Dash has small 2” crack started. Radio head unit and new speakers in cab. Ac truck. Blows ice cold. Just recharged

all it needs to be finished is sent to paint the exterior. Body is rust free free free, just needs sanded and painted.

give me your thoughts guys! I want to learn more and see what it’s worth.

Welcome fellow Buckeye. It's really down to finding the right buyer and how much they will give. The big televised auctions make people think that these trucks are made of gold. They were made for 15 years so they are not rare. Your trucks looks like it's turning out really nice. I've seen similar trucks from $7500 - $10000, (after paint, complete) others lower and some way more.

Other than just saying whatever someone will pay for it, what’s it worth?
What makes one of these the 15k truck rather than the 8k truck?

are there upgrades I haven’t done that I should be doing?

Whatever someone will pay for it
Correct Answer right here. We're not experts in valuation of our trucks and prefer not to be. Since values vary in all parts of the country it's not a good estimation to get that info from here. You're better off doing your own research in your area.

You've done a great job with it. I hope you're keeping it. One thing I can tell you for 100% certain, you've got alot more in it than you'll get out of it. These trucks are NOT investments. You build them for the passion, not the value. If you build them with a kid, your wife, your best friend, then there's where the value is and it's priceless.

Hot Rod Pc, I can’t agree more. I’m 23 years old and I’m building this truck side by side with my old man. Him and I build custom Harley’s as a Harley and turn great profits. I turned the pace this winter and decided I wanted to build a truck with my dad and not care about money. I could care less what it sells for, I started this post for insurance purposes. I want to get an appraisal and see what it’s worth so I can insure it for close to what I have in it. I just wanted to do some of my own research so I wasn’t letting someone appraising it telling me unrealistic numbers.

A heavily modified truck built to YOUR taste is hard to value.. Drive it, enjoy it, be proud of all the effort. It’s a cool tuck! Thanks for giving it another life

Doesn't matter what you THINK it's worth, or what I THINK it's worth to an insurance company. They're going to value it according to their guidelines. Just ask @Rusty Nail who went through months of ******** to get near what he was insured for. Trust me, it was insulting offers. Do save all your receipts though. It's helps a little.

Given the choice between the mafia and insurance companies, I'd go with the mafia. As long as you covered your ass, so did they.
