I used Teroson 9220 adhesive instead of drilling in my door frames. It's elastic bonding and resistant against uv light, saltwater, etc.

I think like every fourth square body has those. I had them on my truck I pulled them off when it was painted, and am not putting them back on, or at least I am not planning on it right now.

They made GM ones too but very hard to find. NOS set run you about $275.

Pretty crazy considering just a few years ago, you could buy them NOS for under 50 bucks.

Is there a way to identify an original gm piece from an aftermarket produced part?

I need to check the ones I took off my 82. I can tell they are old but have no idea who made them.

I believe the original GM ones had the underside painted a dark green color, like in the first few pictures in this thread. But it's been a while since I had a set, so I could be mistaken.

Damn. Mine are black underneath and here I was spending my NOS money already. I have to imagine an intact crew cab/suburban set has to be worth $700 easy.

No, it’s just a stupid 454 that was so good they made tons of them for a lot years. I’m rolling nothing but snake eyes tonight I guess.
