HF AC gauges any good?

I bought this set of gauges a few years ago because I didn't have access to my "good" gauges. Figured they'd be junk. They weren't, and I have used them frequently since then with no problems:

I have a JB Platinum series vacuum pump so I can't comment on their vacuum pumps.

As a side note, my friend uses one of these and swears by it:

He says it pulls the system down to at least 28.5". And it actually gets really good reviews (3.9/5). The only problem; it's performance is highly dependent on a continuous supply of compressed air (4.2 CFM @ 90 PSI for like 20 mins). It works much better at higher volumes/pressures. So a good air compressor is essential.
