When I was getting mine going with a new pump, I removed and dumped the reservoir, washed it out, cleaned the slime off the screen, reassembled, and ran the pump with the nozzle disconnected to prime the washer lines and get any nasty stuff out. When I reconnected them, I had a nozzle that was blocked so I backflushed with a syringe and needle, and it worked like new. You should definitely hear the pump when you toggle it. Don’t know if this is the textbook way, but this is what I did, and it all worked out. If you’re having issues, the idea of the remote pump inside the reservoir like 85+ trucks have is worth exploring, and I don’t think it’d be too hard to change over. People also have different ideas of what nozzles are better. Some like them in the cowl and some like them on the arm.
