Has anyone changed out there instrument dash lights bulbs do you have to pull the dash pad or just loosen it up, has anyone replaced the bulbs with LEDs instead of the standard bulbs if so what name brand?

I did and i pulled the pad. I used chinese crap leds but they work good

I used the SilverStar 168/193 incandescents. They're good bulbs.

For my truck just had to pull the bezel, the lens, then each gauge and just poked em in the back. Didnt have to mess with pulling out the instrument cluster or the dash pad.

Make sure to get some higher quality leds (size 168/194) otherwise they'll start to flicker after a while due to being cheap. Cheap leds may not all have the same color temperature as each other as well.
