lookin to rebuild a 4l80

i finally kick my arch enemies ass

i updated almost everything in this tranny only update i did not do was the 10% wider planetaries i didn't think it was worth the cost of the new parts.

i used
rebuild kit for a 98 4l80
alto red eagle clutches and kolene steels
transgo hd-2 shift kit complete install
updated the overdrive sprag and planetaries to 2001 design
updated the manual 2nd band to the wider 1999 design carbon fiber band
carbon fiber low/reverse band
Sonnax Reverse Servo Spacer Kit (helps stop it from cracking out)
Teflon Coated Pump Gears
34 element sprag
all new bushings, thrust washers and torighton bearings
new shift solenoids,force motor,pwm solenoid and manifold presure switch
no walk rear case bushing
Extra Wide Front Stator Support Bushing
Torlon Check Balls
b&m cast aluminum pan
new out put reluctor ring (my 98 tranny did not have one)
new input/output speed sensors
full spline output shaft cut for my 205 t case
new torque converter
-6an cooler line fittings
short shifter shaft for turbo 400 shifter bracket

i have learned alot and now auto trannies are no longer my enemy

i got it all back together sorry no pics it was a handful learning how to get it done.


i will say that service manual was a huge help but it is out dated all the expoded diagrams are for the 91 to 96 tranny mine was a 98 so alot of things were different.

i used the manual and the videos i posted and this link for the 97 up stuff its a updated manual.

i thought about doing the 1 day thing and download it i think it was around 10 bucks

but i wanted to see what other manuals they had that i would want before paying

i thought i posted the manual i boaght must of been another thread it is the atsg manual good but outdated it covers the 91 to 96 4l80 pretty good got it on ebay 25 bucks







and i suck as at punctuation grammar and spelling so oh well don't like it don't read my posts

You do fine, your's is separated enough it can be read. I don't do worth a damn on a phone and that's why I don't do the phone. I don't do worth a **** with a laptop either, so when I go to my dads and I take my laptop, I also take a fullsize USB Wireles Keyboard and Mouse.

Yeah, the Srcrib just pisses me off, cuz of all the stuff I've uploaded to them, I shouldn't have to pay jack. And that's the way they were set up. You either contributed several files, or you paid. I uploaded like 20 car user manuals in .pdf. Real nice laid out .pdfs too. I should be able to get what I want for FREE, but no. So Scrib !!!
