Looking for a single 4x10 speaker

Title says it all. My truck came with stereo from the factory, 2 speakers up front in the corners of the dash, 2 speakers in the back. Original speakers in the back are long gone, replaced by 6x9s. I’ve got that empty hole in the center of the dash for a 4x10 and I’d like to use it for an external speaker for my CB radio. Manual for the radio says it needs a 8ohm speaker rated at least 4W so a factory 4x10 from a squarebody sounds like it would work perfectly. So does anyone have just one working they’d be willing to sell?

I've got an NOS 4x10 GM dash speaker, but there's no box and I don't remember ever looking up the exact application yet. Also, one of my cats knocked it a few feet to the floor and I don't remember if it received any damage, lol. I can look into it Monday evening or on Tuesday.

I finally remembered to locate the speaker. The felt screen was badly damaged so I pulled it off. The paper cone looks like it saw some water at some point. I tested it with my old, cheap boom box stereo and it does work, but it was pretty quiet. Maybe because of the stereo I hooked it to isn't really compatible with it?

The part # doesn't turn up much. It says on the magnet that it's a 10ohm speaker. Due to the foam/rubber ring around it, I'm guessing it's a rear speaker for an Astro or square S10 or something that has it mount to the backside of a plastic panel. I set it in one of my spare dashboards and it fit the opening and sat properly, but new screw holes would be needed.

If you want it, you can have it for the cost of shipping.

probably cheaper / similar out there elsewhere, but the profile of the speaker with the mounting holes is there in that model.

and one of the problems with any speaker 40 years old. - cones and wires may have just gotten brittle.

and even in 25 year old vehicles I get scratch for periods i the year. (temps and humidity being too cold/too wet, too hot,...if its bad that I can't adjust it away with the volume control, I just don't listen) not enough time to pull a door panel, and replace / refoam 4 speakers on a vehicle that gets 1000 miles a year.

I’ve got RetroSound dash speakers in the corners right now. I’d hate to have to pay $100 for a center 4x10 that’s only going to get used as a CB speaker. CB external speaker for my radio needs at least 4W and 10W is just about right. 8ohms. Factory 4X10 is just about right for that but the Retrosound is overkill.

What do you think shipping to 77520 would be?

That's far enough that a flat-rate box might be a good option. I think that size is still like 10 bucks. I'll box it up and figure it out.

Doesnt look like the 4x10 in my s10. Im actually in the boat of buying 4x10s for the rear corners of my s10 but cant find anything that tickles my fancy.
